>*go into /v/ Dragon Age thread*
>ACKSHULLY the nu-lore makes sense because Corypheus is like one of Archdemons because he's one of the original Tevinter mages and has a soul
>The Architect is alive because of this, btw
>Maybe the mother too since she's a mage and originally was a human so theoretically she could pull the same magic shenanigans
>Don't think about how Grey Wardens should be dead several times fucking over from killing them if they really are like the Archdemon
>Lyrium is living because it can be infected with blight, so this totally explains the dwarven titan things, man
>Solas was introduced in Inquisition, which totally wasn't a complete dogshit mess that everyone should've taken as proof the sequel would be just as if not even worse, so ALIENS ELVES is perfectly acceptable
>*check the wiki*
>some of it is headcanon but most of it is true or are plotholes from adding other forms of soul-transferring darkspawn
i don't think i've ever seen a franchise have sequels that so utterly ruined or destroyed what came before
like, not even the star wars sequel trilogy was this bad
it's like if they retconned the force to be some weird high-tech nonsense on top of somehow palpatine returned
there is really nothing to be gained in playing anything after origins since every plot thread introduced goes nowhere down to the companions
