In regards to the nod for most cripple accessibility who worked on it do we know? Was it resident lolcow DSP special and I do mean special friend Brandon Cole aka don of the cripple mafia?

BioWare is the perfect example of the slippery slope in effect and why you should never hire even one slightly faggy person. What starts with David Gaider putting just barely enough LGBTQZP shit to fly under the gaydar in Baldur's Gate and Knights of the Old Republic, ends with a non-binary troonari butt fucking your character in a non-skippable cutscene.

It did take 20 years to go from Juhani's secret lesbian romance to ... whatever the fuck Taash is, so there's a lot of ruin in a video game company.

What's amazing is that as comparatively primitive and less fleshed out as Juhani was, she remains a far more interesting and likable character than any of the gross pervert homunculi of Veilguard.

Bioware's writing chops took a steep dive around the time of Andromeda and Anthem (and likely started during ME2/3), so Veilguard is just further proof of the rot in their writing department. Literally compare any nu!Bioware character to even Cisquisition ones. I have no idea how they can even recover from this, save gutting their entire writing team and starting over from scratch. And even that is no guarantee, the writing competency crisis is basically affecting every modern American media.

I will always be amazed at how retarded so many modern gamers are and the kind of slop they're willing to defend.

The concept of Aqun-Athlok was a retcon of established Qunari lore so the writers could insert a troon character. Even if that lore were true, it would be dumb as Qunari, like all DA species, are sexually dymorphic and reproduce sexually; obviously a woman wouldn't stop being a potential bearer of life just because she picked up a sword. The lore of the first two games established that Qunari are strictly gender essentialist - all men and women are inherently different because of their biological functions with no cross-over whatsoever. Therefore, being a warrior is to be male and there's no possibility of divorcing the concept from the male body. Similarly, in Qunari society being female is to be a priest, artisan, or shopkeeper as these social roles are an essential part and inherent expression of a woman's femaleness. It was never "your occupation determines your gender"; if anything it was the inverse of that principle.

This can be demonstrated in a scene this comment reminded me of. In DA2 Hawke can challenge the Arishok to a duel. However, if Hawke is female the Arishok will say "If you knew the Qun you would not suggest I fight a female", but if your female Hawke has earned the Arishok's respect (where he will grant her a special title) through previous choices he will agree to the duel. If anything, if the writers wanted to do tranny stuff they could have written that the rare troon had to earn this title to socially transition, but then again we know that even fictional troons wouldn't do actual work.

Uff... When was it released?

She is worse than a lesbian. She is a furry.

One frustrating minor detail about them completely dropping the tapestry/imports: inquisition actually carefully set up some choices as being extremely easy to write dialogue around. The major one being the divine election. Vivienne, Leliana, and Cassandra are all eligible candidates for the new divine. Whomever you elect chooses to be called Divine Victoria.

wasn't Juhani's lesbian romance dummied out of the released version (along with like 80% of her content)? I think the actual first gay romance in a BioWare game was in Jade Empire, iirc Silk Fox is bisexual (though on the other hand, if you play your cards right you can actually have a threesome in that game with a male PC, the straight female love interest, and Silk Fox).
