still looks a bit offIs this alright? I could ink the rockslide mignola style so it will be continuous instead of looking jagged, fixed the hands as well.
Here's a thought, you could get the best of both cases by making the boulder completely round and engraved ittself with the wire globe pattern. If you look at the first sketch that I did, I actually had that thought.
I think it would work well with Atlas since he is already holding a globe, and it seems a lot of people had that image pop up in their head.
With Sisyphus, I'm not sure, however...
Like, do you make it a 3D object like some sort of skeleton globe? It will probably add complexity to the image and might mess with readability. Plus the horizon will be visible behind it. Not to mention it will remove "weight" from the idea behind the image.
If you make it a flat object, it will look better as a logo, but we are not there yet.
And the unevenness of the boulder makes it look like it's harder to roll rather than a perfect circle.
I mean i played around with the ideaHere's a thought, you could get the best of both cases by making the boulder completely round and engraved ittself with the wire globe pattern.
It might look interesting.
Someone looking at it might also think that it would be easier to push uphill due to its shape, but he would never be able to take a break, as it will also just as readily roll downwards. Unlike an irregularly shaped boulder.
is that enoughThet test3.png is really close, the only thing I can think of is that the head might be too small now that the rest of the body has been reworked.
There are actually multiple stories of Sisyphus although most people focus on the boulder punishment. But two of his crimes were that he tricked death into being trapped so that humans lived forever and he stole secret knowledge from the gods. You might be able to do something with the idea of immortal knowledge or free knowledge if you want to symbolically tie your planned movement to the Sisyphean story.I dicked around with making the boulder into Internet-related things and decided it sent the wrong message. The Internet isn't a burden, so it shouldn't be portrayed, and there's no way to really draw the burdens that hamper the Internet so the boulder is a very inclusive allegory.

Honestly using the international symbol of the Internet as "the boulder" is a pretty clever thing.I mean i played around with the idea
but i would like to consult with @Null before i invest to much time into it
meanwhile ill try to improve engraving
He should symbolically tie his movement to Dark Souls instead. There are actually multiple stories of Sisyphus although most people focus on the boulder punishment. It's a close second and a good idea, but it still just doesn't look as good (IMO)Honestly using the international symbol of the Internet as "the boulder" is a pretty clever thing.
It's also important to remember that organizational symbols need to be distinct but simple such that they can be easily put in the corner of official letterhead or in PowerPoint presentations. A fully realized portrait of sisyphus is great, but there needs to be a basic bitch thing that can be produced with a 50 dollar printer from Wal Mart. It's a close second and a good idea, but it still just doesn't look as good (IMO)
it's hard to go from the 2D symbol to the 3D globe and have people know exactly what that's in relation to as soon as they see it.
The idea of the weight of a heavy stone boulder is more imposing.
That's fair, I'm dropping out though, yours seems to be closer to the required thing. Best of luck.still looks a bit off
like it was raining now he is dragging it through the mud
i was thinking maybe adding horizon and extending a leg a bit to show him in a spring position a bit more
thats just how i see that could be complete horseshit

The design is almost complete, but have you considered using a Fiverr artist to finish the final design? Having a second pair of eyes, let alone a professional artist, could help.is that enough
ill rework the legs, i think im onto something
tomorrow though
As true as this may be, is there not a purity to a community effort that is its own value? We have several people willing (myself included) to execute the remaining steps and make competing final designs (for friendly competition or collaboration) once a drawing is agreed upon in principle. The design is almost complete, but have you considered using a Fiverr artist to finish the final design?
I didn't know where to post itView attachment 6487029
saw his idea for the logo in the stream today. I think he should have more of the kiwi bird and the corresponding green color. (Believe an Atlas logo would be appropriate)
