She's done nothing with her degree. But that aside, average teacher (n.b., average, not starting) salary in Stearns County (the county for St. Cloud/ I upped it to find a decent-sized district) is a bit over $56k. That's what, something south of $4800/month before taxes? She wouldn't pay much if anything in taxes with 5 dependents, and sure she'd either not have a house payment or would have a mortgage interest deduction, but that's about $800/person/month to live on. That's rough. Or, at McD's, even assuming a bump from basic to $17/hr, that's $2720, or $453/p/m IF you get a full 40 hours/week.Where are you getting this idea?
She has an early education degree and could get a job as a teacher. At the very least, she has two hands that are capable of delivering fries at the drive-thru window like millions of other Americans. Kayla's no damsel, nor is she special.
No, she's not helpless*, absolutely, but don't suggest that making $32-56k/year with 5 kids would be some walk in the park.
* I've always been a big advocate for everyone, even if intending to be a SAHP and never work for pay in their lives, working real jobs and developing marketable skills. And heck, running a Pta committee can demonstrate and develop marketable skills. But of course you'd have to have your kids in real school for that. And you'd also need to be not constantly pilled and to be connecting with other humans to develop it at all. Kayla's had 15-20 years to engage, and she hasn't.
He will never have a true come-to-Jesus.Only a rehabilitated Nick is good for his kids. I should hope it doesn't take prison for him to have that come-to-Jesus moment. But, his sheer hubris, lack of remorse and complete idiocy point in that direction. I know prison is unlikely, but I'm increasingly thinking based on his words and behavior that it'd be optimal.
They're not all criminal. And he absolutely never supported his family with his practice.I mean sure… 32 criminal cases. My point still stands though. There’s no fucking way that paid for a family of five.
