2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

Daily reminder that these are the people that supplied the FSA and planned this operation.

The usual news

It looks like it's going to be the usual like the last Syrian war and current Ukraine war. If Aleppo and Hama are still being contested and they are not moving to another city, then they will continue eating bombs until their forces continue to deteriorate. I don't think the Turks planned this operation that far ahead like they did sending a column of leopard tanks into Syria before.

Edit: I know the NAFO squad from the pro-ukraine thread are tired of taking L's in the Ukraine war, but I don't think you guys will score a W with this war

The US National Security Council has expressed themselves quite clearly, "[...] the United States has nothing to do with this offensive, which is led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a designated terrorist organization.". Al-Julani's attempts to distance HTS from the majority of its composition—rabid AQ terrorists with no sense of shame, has not proven particularly effective yet: this should not come as a surprise to anyone, but maybe somebody in this thread needs to go tell USA they're just reading propaganda off Twitter and any armchair expert knows better than they do.

Anyway, turkish traditional KARA BOĞA celebrations suspended indefinitely. SAA managed to hold up at the last minute.

Expecting increasingly more savage footage to be uploaded soon by those "moderate rebels", we've already seen summary executions of surrendering soldiers, then there's them being forced to perform extremist roach rituals at gunpoint.

The Russians are a little too excessive with the bombing, I wonder how much Jihadis die from each strike? I don't think they will plan to get another city and just staying in the same city they captured will gradually get worse.

Notice that Assad aligned posters gleefully celebrate the killing of Syrian civilians.

They're only here because they hate the West and this is one of their little larp labs where they can circlejerk bullshit about how the turd world is totally based and winning.
If you really cared about civilians as you say you do, blame the Jihadis for being bomb targets entering the city in the 1st place.

Why are you faggots picking sides and getting emotional over arabs killing eachother?
One side is run by an actual al-Qaeda splinter group (essentially the same shit as ISIS) that aims to create a mini Afghanistan tier shithole, which they will most likely use to launch attacks on neighboring countries, triggering a massive refugee crisis. The other side is moderately secular and does not have ambitions to conquer Lebanon or Iraq.
