I think that 2024 made it clear that the Democrats cannot successfully cheat if the opposition vote is high enough. I do not discount your valid point that the Democrats will have a better chance of rigging their own elections, but my counterpoint is that Democrat voters can still oust the crazy retards. Clearly, the Democrats are not (yet) willing to go full banana republic election fraud.

Yeah, all it took for Trump to over come the cheating and beat the most unlikable and awful Dem canadate ever was to have more popular votes than ANY politician (not counting 2020) in history by a decent margin. We are standing at the Rubicon of if these elections matter or not. Trump got LUCKY this time and actually has a chance to fix things. If he passes election reforms to curb the Dem cheating then we might be able to exist as a Republic. If he doesn't then hello Banana Republic because no one can pull off what he did and all we will get from here on out is Dems and controlled opposition.

Joe might've saved his son from seeing the inside of a cell, but that also means he loses his Fifth Amendment protections in regards to whatever it is he was pardoned from. That means Hunter's got no choice but to testify if the new incoming Congress decides to audit the Ukraine money.

He isn't pardoned for future contempt of congress or perjury. They should sentence him to prison for the length of his pardoned sentence when he lies in a congressional inquiry.

Trump won only because he was up against Harris and Biden. Dispite being one of the worst candidates in history, running one of the worst campaigns in history, and being attached to one of the worst admins in history, Kamala managed to scrap together 48% of the votes. The dem voter base is way too buckbroken to vote out the crazy and incompetent and their political machine is so powerful with their fortification that they can compensate for any canadate's short coming no matter how severe. If the Dems picked someone other than Kamala it would be all over.

The fact that Biden pardoned his son is not only blatantly nepotistic on its face, but also indicates that there was something to the charges. It is also a direct contradiction by Biden himself, who said he would not pardon his son.

There are articles coming out that many Democrat community organizers and activists are demoralized after this election and may sit out the next few. The downstream effects of the 2024 election are not looking great for Democrats.

The problem Trump faced for years is that it was verboten to support him. Now, I think, people who were around for 2016 and 2020 are realizing that Trump isn't so bad. A downside of the constant media hits against Trump is that, eventually, the outrage and lizard-brain appeals don't work anymore. People's receptors eventually dull and their appetite for this stuff diminishes. A lot of previously inflamed actors and voters are now demoralized and Trump is now a solidified part of American political life.

On top of this, I think a lot of young people born in the 21st century fucking despise the politically correct/woke shit and that will garner a lot of Republican support. I'm actually quite hopeful that a lot of young people will trend Republican.

Even if there is nothing to fear, the government can punish you with the process. A main reason for the pardon is to help protect people from political witch hunts, correct for bad rulings, and prevent the state from harassing you.

He was found guilty, so there was something to the charges, pardon or not. Frankly, he should get a pardon for misfiling gun paperwork, those are bullshit laws anyway. I do not agree on the misfiling charge. If you or I did something like that, we'd be wearing orange jumpsuits right now. I do agree with the rest of your point, though. By issuing a blanket pardon for a 10-year period, Joe all but confirmed that Hunter was doing sketchy shit and that no one can touch them anymore.
