South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an “emergency martial law,” Tuesday accusing the country’s opposition of controlling the parliament, sympathizing with North Korea and paralyzing the government with anti-state activities.

Yoon made the announcement during a televised briefing. He declared the step as critical for defending the country’s constitutional order. It wasn’t immediately clear how the steps would affect the country’s governance and democracy.

Yoon since taking office in 2022 had struggled to push his agendas against an opposition-controlled parliament.

Yeah, most of shit gets drawn in Korea because it's cheap as fuck. Tell me something new.
But no, like, the companies that make it are korean and the devs are korean, and the main servers are in Korea and the content is always released first in korean. And a lot of their sales come from korea, they are as bad as the japs

there were a ton of shady real estate deals in Pusan over the last 20 years as well. community cemeteries being plowed to make way for high rises. along with stagnant wages and increasing imports cutting domestic farming and manufacturing.

The WEF plan.
Getting your own place here is hell. Especially in Seoul. A lot of places want a 30 million won deposit. It’s a nightmare and everyone’s living with their parents now. Even the really sketchy places are unaffordable now.

Even the high rises are smaller than your average New York City apartment and just as expensive.

Korea is American capitalism but on meth and it’s so much worse.

It is still very early, will morning and sunrise bring calm or light the fire more?
Opposition to the president with a unanimous vote 190-0 went against the martial law decree while the military says only the president can put an end to it. That is a pretty big unresolved situation so daylight will probably bring out more political activity rather then any kind of calm or serenity.

I expect Armory raids from recently retired (mid 20s) conscripts. So roof Koreans 2.0. Shit is gonna get real.

It is a majority either way but seeing what the 110 other delegates say will be interesting.

Despite multiple attempts by South Korean Police as of 4:30 Am the citizens are now in complete control of the ground, the police are no longer even able to move busses through the bottom area of the street as they have been for most of the night.

South Koreans have very little cultural identity and don't see any value in preserving their dystopian hellhole anyway. Women and men despise each other, and over half the women don't want to get married and men are more concerned about maplestory politics than women. Would you expect that unmarried women are going to want kids?
this is groyper seething with a nice nowag sheen on top. it doesnt work in america and it doesn't work in worst korea. lol.

The country has a lot of people with firearm experience due to service but it also has extremely strict gun laws apparently so private gun ownership won't be much of an issue for soldiers to deal with. If the military stays the course and prevents people from getting weapons they (and Yoon) have a good chance of emerging on top unless anything changes.

Dude, the amount of generals and ambassadors doing face palms rn is probably enough to be heard across Washington DC. This is so bad for the status quo lol
There's probably still hope that the SK President unfucks himself, declares an end to martial law and resigns in disgrace while someone with a functional brain takes over. Again, the ambassador and the Foreign Secretary are probably on call telling the man to commit sudoku for the good of the world.

The problem is that much of the civilian population knows where the guns are. Because they are ex military. All it takes is one guy looking the other way and suddenly the mob is armed. This could go hot real fast
