Do you like crescent explosions or bubble explosions better?

Drama Queen is just the author being assmad about losing WW2 (which is surprisingly still recurring in their media). It's funny how it's a political litmus test for everyone, but "can get away with crimes" is classic post WW2 sperging about USA marines, and I really fucking doubt it applies for Niggers in Japan. Ditto with being blamed in getting higher up positions, few companies will hire niggers for anything but global ads. However American in boards are common (ironically they tend to be the most moral people in the room).
Western anime fans for some reason just forget or don't even realize just how truly xenophobic Japan is to its core, it's not just POCs. They'll even still happily talk shit about the Ainu and hibakusha if they feel like it.

Yeah, you are absolutely right now that I think about it.

You know what? I'm also fine with "whiteu piggu go home" being the message. The universal message of "fuck you, we got ours" is something very lacking nowadays in media and I still welcome it.

As for the series itself... I'm just wondering how long you can stretch "we murder and eat the aliens". No way they aren't getting caught sooner rather than later without a lot of narrative convenience unless there is a much bigger fuck aliens org that recruits and covers them. And even that's a stretch if alien tech is that superior.
Japs still assmad about WW2 are lolcows, like any of the altright featured on this site. But even the Germans could at least point to some thing that Hitler did right, imperial Japan was a clusterfuck of horrific human right abuses that was so bad that the while culture behind it got wiped out after the war, barring some diehard zealots that are huffing copium on how Japan could have won the war and become a superpower. I wish we had more far east cows on the site, because they probably make most of the western stuff pale in comparison to their level of madness.

Going back to the series, even if they had revelations about the aliens, it would either need to put some original twists to be interesting, or expand the cast to be more interesting in their Alien Genocide.

I'm not sure how common a problem it REALLY is but in the Japanese consciousness they constantly are mad about some american soldier (usually negro) in Japan getting accused of rape in Okinawa and then the US government covers their ass and ships him out before he can get sent to a Japanese show trial. Happens every few years. Might be less of a thing going forward since all the Chinese people pissing on Japanese shrines for internet streams are taking up the majority of the hate for foreigners right now.

There's also an interesting thing I heard about where they will hire an american for lower office positions and that american will have the role in the office of being the One Guy allowed to push back against the boss' stupid ideas because any Japanese person talking back to a superior would have to commit seppeku for dishonoring his family like that.

Crescent explosions are more iconic, especially in 1980s anime. I'm not entirely sure of the physics of crescent explosions but they look so much cooler.
Yeah, crescent explosions are one of my favourite anime-specific things. It's a shame Zeta and Destiny dropped them and used the bubbles instead. SEED Freedom had a really cool modernization of crescent explosions where they're 3D and you feel like you could fly into them like clouds.

In a way, some aspects of the premise remind me very faintly of the first run syndicated series Earth: Final Conflict, advanced aliens come to Earth, offer their technology and help us out but they may have an agenda, (they do, actually) and secrets (oh yes). So, part of the basic premise has been done before in various ways. V, for instance, and Keith Laumer's novel "The Monitors", a humorous twist on the idea of the "benevolent" alien invasion, where the invading aliens are actually extremely benevolent and do all they can to raise up mankind. They can use their advanced technology to provide free food, education, housing, and all, but there are human resistance groups, who resent all of this as being extremely paternalistic.

Butl the aliens from Drama Queen seem like assholes at worst by comparison to, say, the aliens from E:FC.

The Taelons:
Experimented on humans
Empowered deep state shady types to pull off false flags
Used humans as meat shields in their war with their somewhat more primitive subrace

Anyways, the people kicking up a fuss about how Drama Queen is evil and should be removed are often the exact same people who really want you to care about Assassination Classroom being removed from a middle school in Nowheresville, Kentucky (They read it on their phone in the middle of class).

Excellent show; a lot better than what this will probably turn out to be (garbage with escapist themes and excessive gore).

First impressions of Drama Queen were that (duh) the aliens are stand-ins for tourists/immigrants that either have no respect for or outright seem to hate Japan but the main characters definitely take their disgruntlement too far, going Jeff Dahmer and all, and you aren't supposed to entirely agree with them. I'm not entirely sold but I am intrigued.

Oh people are talking about Drama Queen already, it comes across as quite redpilled and I like some parts of the story but it still has a lot of problems. Obligatory artstyle whinging, the artstyle looks very mid and webcomicky. I dont know if its just me or its coomerism but I thought Numamoto was a dude, like a twinky guy and was very weirded out by the romantic undertones, it could dive into bara territory really fast. I was shocked to learn that its a woman cause theres no visual signifiers apart from the hairstyle, no angular jawline, no hips or tits, nothing. Am I just a coomer or does anybody else think the same? Also the "asteroid incident" reminded me of the false flag attack from starship troopers for some reason.

Ah, an Undead Unluck enjoyer. I'm just really sad that it seems the manga had to go into turbo speed, really reeks of "you got 8 chapters left, make them count". I don't expect any sort of tragic ending in something like this, so I'm keen to see how Fuko gets out of this one.
I can see the 2-page spread of the Moon falling from a mile away, but everything else is up in the air.

This bum is still making videos? Literally the lowest tier of slop content. I think that the funniest video was the one where he showed some random Japanese comments about Pokemon Scarlet before the premiere in order to show how people there hate this game. Like wow, few comments from a country that has over 120 million citizens, Nintendo truly will fall after this. Ths shit is fucking hillarious considering that people in Japan loved Scarlet/Violet and it's in top 3 best selling Pokemon games and when this game was hot and fresh there was a fuck ton of Japanese fanarts and people loved Rika. He won't tell you this, because this goes againts his narrative and I mean it as a person who stopped giving a fuck about Pokemon a decade ago.

Speaking of Pokemon, they announced new Gundam anime that is a collaboration between Khara and Sunrise. The staff looks really promising considering that the Director is Kazuya Tsurumaki aka the director of FLCL and co-director of End of Evangelion and Anno is involved in making script and storyboard.

Word on the street from a couple of/few months ago is it definitely has to go into turbo speed because they're axing it with some grace. Kinda like how Bleach went out.

Regarding Drama Queen: I'm leaning towards it being just a story with no real sociopolitical commentary and that people are attaching meaning to some dumb fun.

Implying these same people actually bother to read manga like Assassination Classroom to begin with. They for sure might've seen the first season of the anime, but they don't actually care about manga at all outside of their porn doujinshi.

It's the only reasonable explanation. We invested a good number of chapters on Beast and Language yet have gone turbo rocket with Time, War, Luck, Change and Death.

A real pity, Undead Unluck had a very rocky start but it started hitting it's stride a few months before the time skip and after it, it's been pure fire for the most part.

But from what I've seen, it sold like shit and barely got an anime bump, so not surprised at it's current situation.
