That's the annoying part of his bragging. Unimportant people you've never heard of(and won't remember or hear about again) constantly shows up on TV, radio or in the papers all the time. Shit, I've been on tv, radio and newspapers over the years. Not because I tried to be and that's certainly not something that matters to me(and no one remembers it). Certain people get interviewed a lot, purely because they’re seen as knowledgeable in a particular subject. I have a friend who works in a pretty specialised field, and he gets interviewed at least once a year purely because he’s a guy who knows about this subject and he gives interviews. But he’s by no means famous and by his own admission, he’s not top of the field.
