the only cool thing in the ps5 is that you can boot it up with the ps1 sounds and the old consoles UI. and they made it a one time deal for the 30th anniversary of the brand lmao. what are they thinking?
 
So was the PS5 Pro given extra production or something? I was expecting them to be harder to find but I’ve been to Walmarts in two different states these past few days and they all had at least 4-6 in the display cases.

I think scalpers realized it'd be a waste of money to buy them in bulk. They're selling the base PS5 at a loss now. I also think Sony was counting on scalpers to pick up the slack again, but alas.

Maybe if the console had games, people would buy it.

I mean I’m of two minds as a former PlayStation fanboy, devastated that they will never use the vast great ips they have from both the West and East. But happy that the modern Sony faggots will never mess with and ruin many classics I love. Instead they will put all their effort to try and get Horizon to be a series people actually care about.

I feel you. I'm in the same boat, being a former fan. Switching all of my gaming to PC has been a fantastic investment.

Seriously besides that Korean coomer game, a shitty version of Demon Souls, Faggot Man 2, FF7 Afterbirth and that Rise of the Ronin game what the fuck does Sony have that is supposed to set my world on fire? Even their big games were PS4 games before they released on PC. It sucks being old enough to remember how great PlayStation used to be lol

2017 was their last real good year. Yakuza 0, Nier Automata, Persona 5 all released that year with Monster Hunter World in early 2018.

But once the third parties that only released in Playstation (because Nintendo's machine was too weak and fuck XBox) realized that porting to PC actually gave them a huge boost and wasn't that hard, the phantom grip of Sony banished.

This is what really killed Sony, they never valued enough being the "defacto console". Well that, and the California mind virus killing their smaller projects with more personality in favor of more movie games.

As for dangling Bloodborne like rusty keys. Fuck them, that ps4 emulation project seems like it's doing great, so one of the easier wins they could have gotten by porting it may not hit as hard as it could have. I also have 0 interest in a remake of any sorts since I'm 100% they will fuck it up and I care enough about the game to notice.

I think the only big releases they have left for the Switch are Donkey Kong Country Returns and Xenoblade Chronicles, which are just remasters of old games, and of course Metroid Prime 4 which still has a vague "2025" release date, probably because they are timing the game with the Switch 2 launch next year.

You never know, they just might make it so that Switch ends with a bang. And I expect games that are weaker to do go to Switch too for a few years. Not to mention we do not know when the Switch 2 releases either.
