I tried sketching Daniel Larsons's mugshot. I think it can be recognized as being him but it seems that quite often when I try to sketch from an image they end up looking too wide.

you should try doing the grid thing, it's what they do in realism art school,
basically you apply a grind on both the reference image, and your canvas, and you try to make each grid square look as close to the ref as possible

I finished that sketch. Click to full view.

I've heard of this but it is extra work. I might experiment with it at some point.

I tried some different stuff with the kiwi drawings.

Did a wave for this one. The eye is a bit too small for my liking, (I also wanna try something else for the eye reflection) and I need to get the angles on the feet down. I also fluffed up the feathers a bit.

This one is kiwis hugging but uh… yeah… (lol what the fuck is that beak on the left one?) I can’t wait to set up my drawing tablet so I don’t have to deal with this shit. :(

Bryan Fury doodle.
But can you TJU?

Crossposting some practice I got in while continuing to dunk on Emily in her thread. Proportions suck and I need to work on that. Hm I also don't like how stiff this hair feels, but I don't like drawing hair in general so I'm kind of lazy about it.

Bonus quick drawing of my main OC.
I always loved those sort of masking effects for what you have going on with the cape, especially with it being starry.

I made this 3D model of SCP-096 with the goal of creating a more grounded and realistic depiction. I find the original SCP-096 design a bit comical at times, with its exaggerated features like overly long limbs and an oversized mouth.
I generally prefer creatures and monsters to feel more realistic something that looks like it could actually exist, staying within the natural realm of what's possible in our minds.

The biggest challenge was setting up the scene and lighting to take renders.
I haven’t really done much rendering before, and I honestly find the process frustrating, so I haven’t taken as many renders as I’d like.
I experimented with a few subtle variations, but I’m not sure which looks best yet.
The attached images are examples of my attempts so far.
