UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

some people think this isn't the case because the gun misfired but maybe that was the only gun they could get anonymously - maybe it was ordered from the darknet or something
I’m betting the gun is his and the suppressor was an unregistered 80%er that he milled out or one of those wish.com “oil filters”. He had obviously never fired the gun with a suppressor, which suggests he didn’t want to take it to the range. The gun probably didn’t have a booster on it based on how it malfunctioned multiple times, so it was probably a direct thread suppressor.

presuming this guy did not have inside information on Thompson
You don't need insider information.

I got this picture of the AstraZenica CEO from google. One of the biggest Big Phama company's on the planet.
If they announced they were going to send the CEOs to do a talk in some place in NYC and i had a grudge. It is not hard to memorise what he looks like and camp out and wait as he goes for a coffee at the Starbucks outside the building. If he is there for a few days attending the events you could scope out any weakness in his security detail. If were sufficiently motivated and angry at him. It is just using public information.
Real life is not the movies. Being a CEO does not give him or his security detail magic knowledge of people keeping an eye on him to plan attacks like this. They also can't do the whole pushing the public out of the way to clear people away from an "important" person. Like you see them do in movies.
You don't need to be a movie assassin to pull something like this off. You just need a fallible human to do fallible human things and ditch his security to go have a cigarette out the back.

Americans know their system is evil but just assume it's the lesser evil. It's not. I've experienced the healthcare of three other countries. If every American knew how bad you have it, there would be one of these killings every day.
You've lived in tiny Euroshit countries. Those kinds of systems are impossible to sustain for countries as large as the US, especially with the amount of niggers running wild on our existing public programs. Yes it would be fucking great to have enough providers and resources for 30 million people, but it's not gonna happen. Look at countries with larger population and single payer, the wait times for care are insane - Canucks are being put down like dogs because they don't want to give them insulin.

Yeah our system is definitely retarded, flawed, and killing people, but the answer is definitely not a model like what's been adopted by the potato niggers of a former communist satellite.

Each exec having a security of bodyguards will probably be cheaper.
Eh, not really but yes its technically true.
It's that age old problem that billionaires have - they've all been building nuclear bomb shelters to survive the coming apocalypse and naturally as part of that you have to keep your apocalypse bunker armed with a small private military force to also defend it. The problem the billionaires have is once the apocalypse hits and money truly becomes worthless, how do you keep the private military force subservient and loyal to you?

Forgive a novice gun dude for asking if it is retarded, but given the bullets he ejected all were labeled with a message, is it possible he expected to cycle the gun? Wouldn’t the words have been fucked up if he fired those rounds?

This can be a healing point for the country. If leftists can concede civilian firearms are a good thing and right wingers can agree some rich people deserve to be eaten we have the potential for coexistence

The casings would be slightly expanded but the words would probably still be legible. It's just a brass cylinder that holds gunpowder. Explosion goes out the open end where the bullet is. Doesn't destroy the casing unless something goes terribly terribly wrong.

Nah, this is more like when the Axis and Allies came out of their respective trenches to play football on Christmas day.
A temporary truce, a heartwarming thing, but ultimately everyone will head back into the trenches and keep killing each other come Boxing day.

They cannot think that people like this make mistakes. It is why the lore on people like Larry Fink and Soros is so extensive. But at the end of the day he is a fallible human that makes mistakes. He fucked up by not having his security when it looks like he was going to get a coffee, and the man with the grudge exploited that weakness.
Generally rich big shots only get security details when they really think they need it. Zuckerberg obviously needs security because he runs a company that functions as a hyper-creepy global electronic peeping Tom. Average Joe CEO who owns a cement company doesn't have guards and definitely doesn't want them, because security makes your whole life weird and awkward. You can't walk down the street like anybody else, you're surrounded by big frowning men all the time and it affects every social interaction you have.

A lot of high-rollers also feel emasculated by their security, because while you may be made of money having guards is an admission that you do not believe you can protect yourself from all threats and you may even need to take direction from the guys you hire to follow you around. They might tell you "no, you can't get out of the car yet, sir" because they see someone suspicious nearby. Imagine being worth a hundred million bucks and taking orders from some ex-military guy who never went to college and clearly sees you as a nervous little wimp.

I can't even pretend to care about him, his plastic wife, or any of his privately educated children. There are many people in this world for him the fear of death should be a constant possibility in the backs of their minds before they consider stepping on us. Especially the ones who use words like 'Useless Eaters'.

I’m not sure how he could 100% ensure that some sort of failure would occur exactly when the next round had a message on it unless he was using intentionally underpowered reman ammo (very doubtful). He could’ve just had a couple failure to ejects and then dropped the 3 unspent rounds with messages on the ground afterward.

And I have no idea if a message would stay on a fired case, I’m not autistic enough to write shit on ammo.

Powerlevel;
I am not American, but I have a serious illness that requires constant treatment. The cost of one of my drugs alone is 44k a year in a non American county (which means it is on the 'cheaper' side). In some groups I am in I have seen American patients with my same illness state that they have had their claims denied because their insurance decided that they were too far gone so it was no point treating them. My heart hurt and my stomach churned reading that, realizing how if I had just been born in a different country I would probably be fucked.

I understand. My heart hurts for this man to find himself in a position where he considered and followed through with this. And frankly I hope this remains as an 'unsolved mystery' and he gets away with it.

Can’t Corner The Dorner.
Man, what a fever dream that week was. I remember it like it was yesterday. My dad and I were glued to the news for any updates; half the nation was cheering the guy on. I wasn't aware of this site around that time, but I remember 4chan going insane.

Just goes to show you how much faith people had/still have in LA cops lol.

Disagree with the quality of your treatment, pricing, or what they did. You can try begging the hospital to drop the bill which they won't. Your other option is to complain to the board who won't do shit or get a lawyer who you can't afford.

It's totally fucked if you look at the prices the hospitals pay for the most basic supplies it's fucking insane. Everyone in healthcare is a scammer.
I had a family member that was sent to the ER for emergency treatment earlier this month. They're in a rural area that is packed with "undocumented migrant agriculture workers" (wetbacks) in a deep blue state. The hospital, all 4 days (1 ER 3 Inpatient) was so full they had emergency triage beds set up in every single alcove and hallway and they ran out of medical supplies by the 3rd day, requiring they use a workaround. She had to wait half a day the first day to get someone to see her.

All of the beds were filled, to the brim, with migrants. Because they can't turn you away by law (supposedly; I suspect if you're white and have a social security card they suddenly magically can) and if you just vanish into the ether, the bill vanishes into the ether too.

As for the hospital dropping the bill, I did have a friend undergoing chemotherapy who ended up telling the nurse flat out that he couldn't afford the treatments and would just have to forgo them. They brought him to the Hospital Chaplain, who arranged to wave basically everything. The hospital in my area is a nonprofit, however, and they're always looking for charity cases that they can write off. Probably not a common scenario.

I can imagine even the Zilon ambassador to earth Zuck has fucked off for a quick drink at a random bar without telling his head of security about it. The only difference is that the people who hate Zuck are mostly political fantasists and shut in spergs.

Even they can make a reasonable man do unreasonable things

It does not matter the size, you screw with the one motivated man. You dun goofed.

If he put the words on the first three casings, if a jam happened they would be ejected anyway when he cleared the jam.
Ex, 7 rounds in gun, Deny goes off, shell comes out when it's cycled. Depose jams, he clears the jam and the depose bullet falls on the ground. Defend fires, shell comes out. Round 4 jams, clears it, shell 4 falls. Round 5 fires.
Three rounds in body, two jams. The message would still be on the bullet casing, the bullet would just be in the casing, unfired.

Fox is going full on boomer posting with this goofy report from former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro.

The ability to lock the slide is incredibly rare, it was a design spec back in 1991 for an offensive pistol the US military wanted and ultimately only HK and the Mark 23 could deliver it. It's an obscenely rare gun.

You could accomplish the same thing with literally any factory 9mm with a large non booked suppressor or tweaking the recoil spring.
