UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

They make up a rounding error of a percentage of the population.
Of course. And the ones who actually need care get left high and dry.

But it's hard to be compassionate when you personally know a professional victim Munchie who never shuts up about "muh healthcare, I need healthcare, I have this that and the third thing blah blah blah." (Karmically, that person I know also got ass cancer, so serves her right).

You waddle in your own filth and think you are superior to Europeans.
Your living standards are worse than Romanian ones and everything you earn will get burned up the moment you fall ill.
You don't even have vacation or sick days.
Your medication costs x10 as much and your food is filled with poison.
every talking point above is propaganda from liberal white women. take out niggers and illegals and homeless and other people that should be locked up in a prison or mental institution and America's statistics would all meet or exceed EU countries

medicine is expensive in the US because we research and develop the majority of medications. we have access to the most amount and the most advanced types of medicines in the entire world. if any other countries (other than japan) had to actually foot the bill for the medicine technology we develop their commie healthcare systems would collapse overnight

the collapse will happen anyway once biologics become the standard for the newest generation of medicine. countries that rely on cheap generics will start having to pay as much as Americans once medicines that can't be copied are the norm

This killing just reminds me of this

I get the same feel seeing the CEO get popped as I did with the pedo..

  • The shooter arrived in NYC 2 days before the date of the investor conference was announced
  • Police believe he may have left NYC via bus but they can't figure out what bus he took
  • “We have video of him entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal. We don’t have any video of him exiting so we believe he may have gotten on a bus,”

If he was there 2 days before the conference was even announced then that raises a lot more interesting questions

Am I the only one that finds it odd that the NYPD is releasing so much info.
They're showing their ass, basically. They don't know who they're looking for. White guy, dark hair, largish nose - could be anyone. He could be Hispanic, Italian, French, Irish, Polish, whatever ethnically. If he was using fake IDs or stolen ones (or hell, found ones - sometimes I see one on the ground when I'm out jogging) he can mislead them for a long time.

And if he's not in Canada by now he's a fool. NY to Montreal is not a hard to find or expensive ride. A lot of young people who look sort of like him do that because the drinking age is lower there and it's kind of a vice city. Skinny white guy, dark hair, on that bus wouldn't raise suspicions. If he has a different color hoodie and picked up a new backpack somewhere he should be in the wind for a good long while.

Canada also holds up extradition to the States a lot on murder charges because they're so anti-death-penalty and human rights focused. NYC jails, where they hold you awaiting trial, are so bad control of at least one men's facility was recently given to feds. If he's in Canada he can hold up any extradition proceeding for a long-ass time.

Fuuuuuck 150 a month for golden insurance?

Bro so many Americans easily pay like 300 a month and cant even get a text back and the 300 a month they pay doesn't even cover the 5k you need to pay before the insurance "kicks in" but hey at least they give you two free yearly check ups (diagnostic testing not included)
Talk to some people who actually use the healthcare system in Australia or Western Europe. You’ll realize how absolutely shafted you’re getting all the while being reassured by “them” that “America has the best healthcare in the world (((for elites only)))” and fed bullshit propaganda about socialized medicine equaling suicide tribunals and waiting two years for cancer treatments.

All of those, Andrew Ditch, and the subjects of the Munchausens by Internet thread are the best arguments against universal healthcare.
Large majority of munchies in that thread are American and already get free healthcare anyway.

I'm not sure there's even two hundred memes out of this yet
Yet attack on pentagon had 5 frames of the plane with 3 frames missing

We make headmeds for you and your kids. Our price is 10€ for a box without insurance and export it to US where it costs 200USD. I can literally ship you stuff we make daily if it weren't illegal to do so.
You can get a ticket here and back, pick up a month's worth of meds and fly back for less than it would cost you to resupply your own stock from your own harmacist.
You are just getting scammed to prop up the ceo's and shareholders.

US ranks last on key health care measures compared with other high-income nations, despite spending the most

"The US spends more on health care than any other high-income country, but a new report suggests that “Americans are sicker, die younger and struggle to afford essential health care.”

Compared with nine other high-income nations, the United States ranked last overall this year, with a lower life expectancy and higher rates of death and disease despite spending the most on health care, according to the report, released Thursday by the independent research group The Commonwealth Fund."

And it spends more because a lot of patient payments and health services revenue do not go directly to care provision or even necessary administration but to line the pockets of assholes like Brian Thompson who is rightfully mouldering on a mortuary slab, may he rot in hell.

Analysis of 70 health system performance measures in five areas: access to care, care process, administrative efficiency, equity, and health outcomes.
Oh how did I fucking know

Our system is no where near where it should be, but here is some needed context for that article:
1733519929091.png

The US has a lot of shit, but if you have money you can get better care here than a lot of other places. There are foreign millionaires that buy businesses in the US to run at a loss to help get a visa to get medical treatment here. If you get a high deductible plan and can pay a doctor cash for routine stuff and work with a practice that trusts its patients and screens out people that are going to jump and yell malpractice you can cut around a lot of the BS behind things and get pretty good care for a decent price.

Where did you get the idea Americans don't have vacation or sick days? Lol, I can take like 2 months of PTO right now if I want.

It devolves it into identity politics for no fucking reason though. It also opens up the argument "well he's getting about 10000x the budget for his investigation than Deshawnius III did when he got blasted by some gangbangers."

Just enjoy the fleeting sense of unity and enjoy the fact that humanity as a whole still despises those who exploit the sick and dying.
It's being forcefully devolved into identity politics because the C Suite can not risk Americans realizing exactly who is fucking them over.

the Welrod meme is so dumb i'm almost wondering if this is some kind of psyops to put a hamper on any more assassination attempts. no regular person, you can't possibly cobble together a makeshift silenced gun in an afternoon using commonly available parts; you can only perform assassinations with special spy guns that will make you super traceable
I completely believe that they are trying to make it look like you would need super high-speed gear to whack a business criminal in their natural habitat.

I read the entire thread before posting this, Some of it will be late, some will be gay, but the info which is late is spread out all over the thread, SO, for those still wondering why the Welrod theory was so retarded let me lay it out:
BT_VP9_04-158088496.jpg
  • The Welrod/VP9 is the definition of exotic:
    • Expensive, >$3500 in any configuration/condition
    • Total global annual new production might be >100 units, but not by much
    • From the factory, it's an NFA item in the US, requiring .gov registration via a $200 tax stamp to purchase from a dealer
    • Secondary market is basically nonexistent, and no one is going to illegally transfer an NFA item currently registered to themselves
  • The Welrod/B&T require the operator to manually rotate and retract the bolt to the rear and then push the bolt closed and rotate it to lock between each shot
    • This action is not happening in the video
Here's what is in the video:
  • Shooter presents and fires a basic bitch semi-automatic handgun with a barrel mounted suppressor which is slightly oversized vs current market offerings
  • Shot strikes target
  • Shooter clears malfunction by retracting the slide and letting it fly forward under spring pressure and prepares to fire 2nd shot
    • Total time elapsed in the CCTV video from presentation of weapon to preparing to fire the second shot ~1.5 seconds or slightly less
    • Shooter's near instantaneous reaction time clearing the malfunction indicates either:
      • a) He is highly trained and has drilled weapon failures extensively, OR
      • b) He tested the weapon setup sufficiently to expect that the config would fail to cycle and built that expectation into his plan
  • Cause of the failure to cycle was likely a combination of the following:
    • Homemade suppressor without a Nielsen Device/Booster
    • Suppressor with the Nielsen device misconfigured for the barrel length and load
    • Cold temps lowering the pressure of the shot enough to cause the action to incompletely cycle
      • This would really only be an issue at close to 0 Fahrenheit, I doubt it was that cold.

Since The Deposer has already decided to commit Murder 1, let me show you how easy it would be to currently acquire this weapon config, with only a small amount of op-sec planning required to do so with close to zero paper trail:
  • Ender 3 Printer - $150
  • PLA+ - $25
  • PSA complete Slide and threaded Barrel - $200
  • FMDA 19.2 frame STLs - free af
  • Glock OEM LPK - $120
  • Frame Rails - $35
  • Magazine - $12
That's $542 for the first copy and under $400 for each additional weapon, with no background check. All completely legal federally, as long as you're not a prohibited person, and you are not building them to sell to others.
ledditor.webp

But he still needs a suppressor for this load out. This also can be done completely legally, filing e-file Form 1 tax stamp application with the ATF, getting fingerprinted and paying $200, but our guy is planning Murder 1 here, so he's probably not worried about the threat of 5 years, $250k for unregistered possession.

I'm pretty sure that The Deposer used a $50-$100 Chinese fuel filter or Maglite kit without a booster, but if he already has the 3d printer he can make something way better, with an integrated Nielsen device. He needs:

  • FTN.4 EZ STLs - free af
  • JB weld - $13
  • PLA+ - $25
  • Barrel extension - $30
  • 1.75" spring - $12
  • 3M Casting tape - $10
  • Thread Adapter - $7
  • Hardware store nuts/bolts/washers - <$10
So ~$100 for the first one, but a backup would only cost ~$50. Which, after some assembly, results in something like this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fosscad/comments/1gdnocn/some_more_tomfoolery_with_the_ftn4/

So starting from zero, the full load out, one that would yield more reliable results than The Deposer got, could be acquired, sans paper trail, by anyone not totally retarded for ~$600. I can see why the NYPD, Feds and Owner-class would want the cattle to think that this would be impossible to pull off without a $5k pistol.

This isn't really true - medical advances actually often come from the margins. Medicine confers prestige and the older people in the field don't like to be challenged. The US also has a fee-for-service model for everything, so they win when they do something more expensive to you. We're also very lawsuit happy which makes innovation harder.

Wasn't the first heart transplant in South Africa? A lot of dental advances have come from places like Australia, things that will help re-mineralize your teeth instead of a dentist just charging you to fill cavities. Insulin if I'm not mistaken was discovered in Canada, I think U of Toronto held the patent for a long time. Canada, for its size, actually has done a lot to advance medicines. When Johns Hopkins started their med school back in the day, they poached a guy from McGill U in Montreal to run it. U of Toronto, McGill and even UQAM have done a lot of good research/innovation on a variety of things.

What American pharma companies do is re-invent the wheel a lot of the times - they do things like making new forms of insulin that they can charge a premium for. A huge issue is that pharma co's here know antibiotic resistance is growing, but they're not trying to develop new antibiotics because it wouldn't be profitable enough. There is actually some logic to governments investing in R&D on things like that, because it's more of a public good than a slightly tweaked version of an old prescription, developed only so the company can charge you more for what amounts to the same thing.

  • Besides multiple companies removing "leadership" pages from their websites, another health industry company (Centene) has foregone an in-person event in New York and switched to a "virtual investor day",
  • Another health insurance company (Medica) that was also based in Minnesota like UnitedHealth was has closed its main campus because of safety concerns

Also, a lot of police officers are searching for his backpack (this implies that CCTV must have shown his backpack disappeared at some stage):
