I completely believe that they are trying to make it look like you would need
super high-speed gear to whack a business criminal in their natural habitat.
I read the entire thread before posting this, Some of it will be late, some will be gay, but the info which is late is spread out all over the thread, SO, for those still wondering why the Welrod theory was so retarded let me lay it out:
- The Welrod/VP9 is the definition of exotic:
- Expensive, >$3500 in any configuration/condition
- Total global annual new production might be >100 units, but not by much
- From the factory, it's an NFA item in the US, requiring .gov registration via a $200 tax stamp to purchase from a dealer
- Secondary market is basically nonexistent, and no one is going to illegally transfer an NFA item currently registered to themselves
- The Welrod/B&T require the operator to manually rotate and retract the bolt to the rear and then push the bolt closed and rotate it to lock between each shot
- This action is not happening in the video
Here's what is in the video:
- Shooter presents and fires a basic bitch semi-automatic handgun with a barrel mounted suppressor which is slightly oversized vs current market offerings
- Shot strikes target
- Shooter clears malfunction by retracting the slide and letting it fly forward under spring pressure and prepares to fire 2nd shot
- Total time elapsed in the CCTV video from presentation of weapon to preparing to fire the second shot ~1.5 seconds or slightly less
- Shooter's near instantaneous reaction time clearing the malfunction indicates either:
- a) He is highly trained and has drilled weapon failures extensively, OR
- b) He tested the weapon setup sufficiently to expect that the config would fail to cycle and built that expectation into his plan
- Cause of the failure to cycle was likely a combination of the following:
- Homemade suppressor without a Nielsen Device/Booster
- Suppressor with the Nielsen device misconfigured for the barrel length and load
- Cold temps lowering the pressure of the shot enough to cause the action to incompletely cycle
- This would really only be an issue at close to 0 Fahrenheit, I doubt it was that cold.
Since The Deposer has already decided to commit Murder 1, let me show you how easy it would be to currently acquire this weapon config, with only a small amount of op-sec planning required to do so
with close to zero paper trail:
- Ender 3 Printer - $150
- PLA+ - $25
- PSA complete Slide and threaded Barrel - $200
- FMDA 19.2 frame STLs - free af
- Glock OEM LPK - $120
- Frame Rails - $35
- Magazine - $12
That's $542 for the first copy and under $400 for each additional weapon, with no background check. All
completely legal federally, as long as you're not a prohibited person, and you are not building them to sell to others.
But he still needs a suppressor for this load out. This also can be done
completely legally, filing e-file Form 1 tax stamp application with the ATF, getting fingerprinted and paying $200, but our guy is planning Murder 1 here, so he's probably not worried about the threat of 5 years, $250k for unregistered possession.
I'm pretty sure that The Deposer used a $50-$100 Chinese fuel filter or Maglite kit without a booster, but if he already has the 3d printer he can make something way better, with an integrated Nielsen device. He needs:
- FTN.4 EZ STLs - free af
- JB weld - $13
- PLA+ - $25
- Barrel extension - $30
- 1.75" spring - $12
- 3M Casting tape - $10
- Thread Adapter - $7
- Hardware store nuts/bolts/washers - <$10
So ~$100 for the first one, but a backup would only cost ~$50. Which, after some assembly, results in something like this:

So starting from zero, the full load out, one that would yield more reliable results than The Deposer got, could be acquired, sans paper trail, by anyone not totally retarded for ~$600. I can see why the NYPD, Feds and Owner-class would want the cattle to think that this would be impossible to pull off without a $5k pistol.
