If it's his first time he most likely wont see any jail time for it and pay restitution and call it a day. I don't know off top what his criminal record is if any so its up to the judge. Having mace is legal so unless it caused great bodily harm or permanent injury no other issue can be used against em at that junction.

If Fuentes is smart, he'd have his lawyers negotiate down to a fine and maybe restitution. Zero jail time. He can even grift off of it later, by claiming he was persecuted for defending himself.

It's already been revealed that the debanking thing was a lie. He has other bank(s) he uses, the money that the feds seized was eventually returned to him within about a year (although he lied and insisted that his funds were still frozen like a year afterward.) It was a self-evident lie meant to make him out to be a righteous victim fighting against power.

I wouldn't expect anything else out of it tbh. First time and the person who went to his house was on bad faith may help em get out of it. Their is something in the legal system he can use to his advantage but, we will see.

So I think although Nick is going to have a shitty time with this particular charge, I think where he's really going to get torn apart is this civil suit being talked about. This lady is an activist and until now she was probably just an opinionated person who dreamed that one day she would be recognized as someone fighting the good fight. Now she gets to do that and she absolutely, without a doubt, will. Victory for her isn't just going to be winning the cost of trauma and a phone, its going to be slinging lawfare left and right as long as possible.

If I had to guess there is going to be at least one jewish/feminist/leftist lawyer who will be more than happy to file bullshit over and over again just to make Nick pay for a lawyer, and she'll do it pro-bono. I bet there aren't a lot of lawyers willing to donate their time for free for Nick. All of this will be contained in Cook County, Illinois that will absolutely fuck with Nick for blatantly political reasons.

He had better hope that the Feds aren't shredding his file because the Patel appointment. Even if they aren't, the beating heart of the Democratic party in the Midwest might just politely ask for a good corn harvest next year and let me tell you... Illinois grows a lot of corn.

I doubt he didn't look out the peephole or something to ensure he wasn't spraying a cop, Mormon, or Girl Scout. As a contentious public figure who received threats and was doxxed prior to the incident, I'd say the context justifies it:

Sorry, but if you're doxxed and vowed revenge against and somebody comes to your door who you don't know, you're allowed to chase them off in my book. It's not like he stabbed or shot her.

And you really can't look at this incident in isolation imo, the political climate is unjust due to pervasive identity politics, just look at the persecution of hero Daniel Penny. Not to say this case is even remotely similar but there is the reality that if the identities and politics of these two were reversed it'd be a different situation, legally and in the court of public opinion, so I'm factoring that two-tier justice system into my opinion. This guy's got a point (from the same article):

Fuentes is yet to comment on the incident but did repost a message on X from fellow right-wing activist Tristan Tate, who, along with his brother Andrew Tate, is currently under house arrest in Romania after being charged with rape and human trafficking in 2022.

“If a man turned up at a ‘pro-choice’ woman’s house to confront her about her views she could literally shoot him dead and nobody would care,” he wrote.

Imagine a "Neo-Nazi" (so...any user of Kiwi Farms, according to popular opinion) was at the door of a liberal Jewish activists' home for any reason, how would law enforcement and the news react?

Now, the extent of my knowledge about the case is basically what's in that article, if there's any other details that change things then I'm unaware, I don't follow either of the people involved. Also, in case someone accuses me of white knighting or whatever, I dislike Fuentes and think he's possibly a psyop to harm the MAGA movement, but just based on the merits of the case, current social climate, and self-defense advocacy, I don't think it sets a good precedent for him to be charged.

I wouldn't have done it, I'd call the police and wait in a tactical position inside if I was concerned (mostly because I know self-defense is hanging by a thread in USA), but I have no problem with people exercising a more proactive form of self-defense.
