UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

KF was super quick on the Waukesha granny crusher for doxxing but still nothing on this guy. I wonder if the “folk-hero” angle of this will lead to a lower likelihood of anyone coming forward?

Or he is just a complete silent no trace web user.

If nothing else the fact he got away and is still unknown is an impressive feat.

Most of the underlying causes had been there for years. Mix in an economic downturn and one really sympathetic guy pushed to the absolute edge doing a dramatic act in public, and boom powder keg goes off.
Rusty Cage made a pretty brilliant piece that kind of covers this whole thing:

I won't spoiler the whole thing, but he builds a guillotine in his back garden and kind of goes in a lot of what is "wrong" in the world today (like the Nestle CEO being happy and comfortable in saying that water shouldn't be a human right and people should have to pay for it, and all the poison and shit companies have put into the earth). It's well worth a watch and very, very pertinent to what has happened here.

(I'm not personally a die hard fan of his or anything, but I loosely watched the episodes and the ones closer to the end were more and more interesting - the video I shared is all of the episodes condensed into one after the fact, hence the lower view count)

There is no reason to cheer for his death, it's online brainrot.
Sorry, I can’t stop, won’t stop.

I'd say it's a bit of both. He's so far done a good job of evading law enforcement in a city full of CCTV by throwing out red herring like the fake ID but also in any successful insurgency or partisan attack, having a sympathetic civilian population pays dividends in the sense that sympathetic people let insurgents or partisans hide in their barn, basement etc. It's why the Soviets in the Soviet-Afghan War targeted civilian centers since they were often suspected of hiding anti-Soviet forces.

What if this act makes other psychopaths too afraid to do what they do, thereby improving quality of life for potentially millions of people? Does
that help? Some people will not stop until you make them stop. They consider it a point of pride.
correct. the category error is in identifying the psychopath

which one sounds more like a psychopath: a fat rich guy who makes hundreds of millions condemning other people to death, or the dude who eliminated the former from society?

Internet sleuths stand literally no chance.

NYPD has stated that their "gotcha" moment was that single grainy photo of him smiling with his mask down (which he own did because the chick at the hostel was flirting with him). To get that single frame they apparently have been through hundreds and hundreds of hours of CCTV footage.

The guy basically went everywhere with a mask completely obscuring his face.

Outside of DNA, fingerprints or some "miracle" evidence coming up this guy is a ghost - he entered the city on a bus, stayed in a hostel, avoided CCTV, shot a CEO in broad daylight, went through central park, ditched his backpack and left the city on a bus once again.

No one on the internet is going to be able to "turbodox" a guy that is a literal ghost. Unless he does some like online video statement or something like that, then the chances anyone catches him (besides the police) at this point are reducing by the minute. He is already long gone from NYC. Every lead the police had (they thought he used an obscure gun) have brought up nothing.

That’s literally how healthcare used to be pre-Obamacare. You could get catastrophic insurance for cheap that paid for major surgeries but didn’t cover checkups.
Wrong. The scam “catastrophic insurance” that was peddled didn’t actually cover shit if you got unlucky and tried to use it - for almost anything.

That's because it starts with one angry dude, then a few, then the black swan event.

Nothing is scarier to the people in power than the possibility of a stand alone complex spreading, with people doing things alone without any connection.

It has been mentioned how in murder cases the hardest ones are the ones without any connection between victim and prep. A Stand Alone Complex is pretty much that in a societal scale. A militia or terrorist cell is bad enough, but how do you track a single person who has no connections whatsoever and decides to do a little trolling all on their own? It's virtually impossible to track a lone wolf if they are small enough, and even worse if they are waiting for a opportunity to act on impulse rather than planning something over time.
