Didn't Doug collaborate with Cinemasins one time?
He did. It was their "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" sins video. Doug's got a real hateboner for that movie which he has expressed multiple times.Didn't Doug collaborate with Cinemasins one time?
IIRC, Jeremy (the narrator of CinemaSins) said that he'll never work with Doug again a while back. I wonder what happened...
woah what, don bluth? It seems telling that with almost every person Doug makes collabs with they end up leaving him- Don Bluth, Cinemasins...
Sure.woah what, don bluth?
someone fill me in
Again, I don't know the whole story (or how Doug's been able to convince voice actors like Rob Paulsen, Spike Spencer or Cree Summer to show up in his videos at various points). But it's the long and short of it, at least.
I guess it shouldn't really surprise me. But still, Bluth was probably something no one was expecting, even with the abundance of VA appearances in his reviews.iirc he goes to cons a lot and he probably uses Facebook and Twitter a lot, so it's not that surprising to see him getting mini-celebrities on his show. They only really last for one episode, though. Nobody really seems to stand Doug outside of his fandom and the circle jerk still at Channel Awesome.
Not exactly correct. Bluth had a Kickstarter that failed, and used a Nostalgia Critic episode to promote an Indiegogo campaign that did reach its goal. The Walkers had no involvement beyond that. The Dragon's Lair movie won't get made because no studio is going to invest $70 million in a hand drawn movie based on a forgotten video game directed by an octogenarian who hasn't made a good movie in almost 30 years.Sure.
See, it all started when Bluth was doing his Dragon's Lair film pitch Kickstarter. Doug got wind of it, and while I don't know what happened next, whether it was Doug or Bluth who asked, but Don would appear in a few episodes (most notably the most recent Commercials episode) to promote said Kickstarter.
It flopped (possibly because Doug's audience has no income of their own), but Bluth was eventually able to get the funds needed without the Walker Bros.' help.

So, The Walkers scammed their own "employees" and guest collaborators out of their fair shares. And people try to convince me Channel Awesome isn't going down the tubes.
They met in person back in 2014 or 15. So it wasn't like they were communication just through online. If I had to make a guess I'd say that Doug cut him out of money from a YT video he cameo'd in. Same thing happened to Lindsay Ellis (Nostalgia Chick) when she appeared in the Moulin Rouge review.
This: he repeats and regularly references modern popular children's shows for views and whatnot, but this in turn makes his reviews very samey and dangerously spergy. He's also hilariously out of touch with fan reception for shows, like the time he tried making "underrated" lists because Doug sempai did it.
I'd give ideas on how to unfuck it, but it'd require Strider to widen his pallete for childrens shows, and we know he won't do that.
I wonder if he's familiar with Rick and Morty?New Why should every media have a message of wanting to get the world "better"? Does this guy not know the concept of nihilism?
I get the feeling "mean-spirited" is repeated ad nauseam? Do we have to make cartoon reviewers watch The Sopranos and The Wire until they develop taste? Why should every media have a message of wanting to get the world "better"? Does this guy not know the concept of nihilism?
And of course he has to go on and on about how superior Steven Universe is. He can't go one episode without sperging about it.
Strider expresses his Unpopular Opinions
He gneuinely claims that Ghostbusters the game 2016 gave him PTSD because it raped his childhood.
