Police have clarified that the wording was "delay, deny, depose" and it was 1 word written on each bullet. So the order of them is up for interpretation - this also means the shooter deliberately left 3 unshot bullets at the scene. The words were written with black marker based on what I read somewhere else.

I mean to be fair to the reward amounts from the NYPD and FBI so far, all this dude did was kill a single person. He didn't bomb a hotel. He didn't leave behind a threatening note. He didn't threaten divine retribution. He didn't kill multiple people. Just a single person and didn't impact anyone else directly at all. He also didn't murder him in a home invasion - this happened on a city street. There is literally zero indication that he will "strike again".

Yes he is a murderer. But the CEO is no different than any other person. I don't see why tax dollars should be ponying up a huge reward amount just because the company was huge - if anything, the company should be offering up a huge reward for information themselves. It's very curious that they're not offering up any reward though.

It's still massively underwhelming when you consider what's at stake for them and how clearly desperate they are for information. They're throwing a hundred cops at this man, censoring twitter and bringing out construction equipment and the combined total is maybe enough to live off of for most of a year in a cheap spot in flyover country. The sheer stinginess involved e encapsulates everything about this environment that lead to Thompson getting shot in the first place.

To me it seems perfectly logical in terms of this murder (assuming it was a vigilante sending a message to the health industry/corporations) .

If were a sane person with nothing to lose, and decided to murder someone to send a message and make it an act of revenge, I'd have to consider being caught and imprisoned. But it doesn't mean that I wouldn't do everything in my power not to get caught. I read about people planning and committing crimes and most of the time they are planned out and executed carelessly, that's why perpetrators get caught. Him seemingly doing both makes perfect sense to me.

See people are saying things like that not realizing that's not how it goes.

First of all, most of these people, including CEOs are not arriving in limos. This is NYC, many of them will grab a cab, or walk from a nearby hotel. There are no vallets in NYC hotels, and definitely no hotel employees will be standing out with the umbrellas. There are hundreds of conferences taking place any given day in NYC hotels and none of them is anything close to the Oscar gala people here seem to think.

Furthermore, the talk about security - executives don't have security. Maybe if you're Elon Musk , but the average C suite of a corporation is just a regular looking dude that drives his own car, or takes a train if it's faster. Sure they make a lot of money but they're not gonna spend it on limos and securities, these things are for celebrities or politicians and are crazy expensive.

The reason the evil C suites are shitting their pants now is because they always had comfort of being rich, evil and anonymous without having to worry about anyone targeting them. They had no fans and they had no enemies. And suddenly that shell has cracked.

The usual justification for CEOs is that they are quickly made a fall-guy if the company doesn’t perform well, and might not get another high paid job in their lifetime, so they want to coin it for the year or two that they have the chance.
