The Kurds have always praticed realpolitik, that's why they never declared independence and recognized Assad as legitimate leader of Syria and that they are simply autonomous under him.

He also had Hezbollah pretty much abandon all resistance to das juden in lebanon to come try to bail his ass out, and he could count on Russia and Iran to send the heavy hitters. The US also has a carrier on station to support whoever they've decided are the least terroristic this week.

Hezbollah got fucking wrecked and their comms are completely compromised. Hamas is pretty much done. Iran is withdrawing their military so forget Quds reinforcements. Russia is unlikely to pull forces from Ukraine or Africa given the speed of the collapse and relative importance. No one is coming to bail him out this time, all of his allies managed to punch themselves full force in the dick at the exact same time.
