Well between Wuk Lamat being threatened to be shoved into people's face and and this, it's safety to say FFXIV ended with end of Endwalker and if there's no way to get Endwalker with DT i'm not sure i want to continue to play FFXIV anymore (the rest of the stuff in this thread already not helping either)

Honestly the whole wuk lamat thing can be kinda of circumvented with the Jap Voice acting, so personally i dont have a qualm with Wuk up to this point in the story(im early on DTl) As for the mobile FF14, it wasnt in my bingo card and even though i do want more people to play FF14, mobile for me doesnt feel like the way to go. Despite all that i still like the mmo and i play with friends so its enjoyabke, but i do understand why people may want to bail out from the game.

DT story in and of itself is just weak and kinda shit. You can chalk that up to the fact we just went from the stakes of EW to literal beach arc though. Wuk is just a pressure release valve because they are the worst part of DT and also voiced by a tranny faggot.
From what we have seen about the mobile game it is just that, a standalone reimagining of ARR story on mobile. It is not a FFXIV client for mobile etc

Seeing how much I despised ARR's storyline, they can do that and all it would make me do is laugh a bit.

Combat Reborn's Malediktus has decided to resort to a teleport hack to resolve a mechanic rather than actually making fork-worthy code in the fork of bossmod.
For some absurd reason, there is an option to allow for the teleport hack to happen even when there are 3 actual players with you in the dungeon.

People in Combat Reborn's #bmr-general and Puni.sh's #ffxiv-bossmod channels had a small flame war against each other that resulted in Kirbo and Malediktus being banned from AutoParty, and AutoParty's owner being banned from Combat Reborn.

Puni.sh has now decided to draw the line, anything that is physically impossible for the player to do without using TPP is now banned.

It just boils down to not getting caught. There's no way to police any of this and Frosty is huffing some extra potent copium if he thinks people are just gonna decide to stop cheating. He's even more retarded if he thinks streaming alone is enough to differentiate someone who's cheating and someone who isn't. I dunno if these are his real thoughts or if he's just framing them in a way to stay on SE's goodside, but it's pretty tone deaf. Most high end raiders don't care about the "spirit" of the game, they just want to win.
Now the real question though if Yoshi and the team feel like they should bother creating ultimates anymore and if they should instead tune ultimates around people specifically cheating. The same exact shit that happens in WoW. As in, you can't clear it unless you're cheating. Either they'll be okay with people cheating so long as they hide it, or they won't be okay knowing that all their hard work will just get shit on by cheaters and stop producing ultimates altogether.

Then there are other solutions, such as forcing an anticheat into the game so that everyone who uses programs regardless of it's purpose gets fucked or they could make the race official, fly out only registered teams and place them on a stage with PS5s set up for them so that they can't cheat. With how much work that takes for something Yoshi barely cares about, I really doubt things will go that way. Lastly, Yoshi could just choose not to acknowledge anyone who clears using programs or just be content that in a sea of cheaters, there are at least some few who are clearing the content the way he and his team intended. What do you guys think?

Despite Yoshi making an example of the team that cheated through TOP, there is nothing that can be done to stop people from cheating. It doesn't matter how many times he bans or deletes people who are caught or how many examples he makes of people. It's naive to believe that the hundreds of thousands of people who play will all listen to you just because you're the producer. You can't change human nature.

Honestly I think YoshiP is too soft with mod devs and should follow nintendo's example and throw cease and desist letters on their faces.
Removes the headaches for the devs and improves the quality of the player base.

Reagrding the whole cheating thing. I dont mind if Yoshi puts a nuked on all mods. Thing is that QoL ones will get caught and since the developers havent added those same things officially into the game, it will be annoying. People will cheat, people wil try to gain every advantage at times if it means winning. FF14 has proven that people on high levels of play and content cheat their way into it. Personally he should nuke mods with an anti cheat of sort after he makes the game better with some QoL stuff just so that i dont have to stare at a second monitor or feel the need to download a mod.
