Apparently the Syrian Republican Guard (Assad's personal Praetorians) has fucked off and the rebels are now beginning to enter his palace in Damascus. Their rather raggedy appearance would suggest these are Southern Front & other FSA friends, not the more professional-looking HTS of today with their uniforms & high production values. (Oh how things have changed, it was the opposite in 2014-18! I guess it's hard to look your best for the camera after 6 years of hiding in wait across the far southern Syrian countryside.)



Bros...I think it's finally officially Bashover. (Or almost officially at least, if you're waiting for Al-Jolani to deliver a speech from said palace.)

It's more likely that the ferals start killing each other within a year of overthrowing Assad and some new strongman fills the vacuum. The damage they'll do to Syria in the meantime will be horrific, but I don't expect homo americanus to care.

This is a good opportunity to look at where you get your information from and compare what they described, and their predictions, to reality.
The conmen are very obvious with this.
People in this thread had no issue following developments on the ground.
Reading accounts who are trying to deceive you is a detriment to you. You are actively becoming LESS informed over time. The truth will sound strange and extraordinary, after you had your compass for what is "expected" warped.
The way to deal with professional liars is to block them, not waste time trying to figure out whether they're truthful about this or that. There's people who don't mislead their audience you can follow instead.

these dune coons have been living in the same place since the dawn of civilization and they're perfectly fine handing over the keys to the next rulers almost immediately all the time. was Assad's family really that shit? You'd assume being in power for half a century would have build some flavor of loyalty.

Three days ago you were mad about Syria's innocent people falling into the clutches of the Jihadis. Now your "hope" is they trigger a full on war with the Jews that is guaranteed to set Syria on fire and bring ruin and death.

The only thing that a Jihadi victory is sure to bring is another wave of terror attacks in Europe by the Arab Muslim migrantwave who did the exact same thing after ISIS stormed through Iraq. They'll feel emboldened and like the Ummah is two weeks away. HST and the jihadis are not turning their guns on Israel, simply because the Civil War will continue as Salafist jihadis can never moderate.
