I don't know. The US was surprised by the quick collapse in Kabul. There are no hasty Russia withdrawals here with people clinging on to planes trying to escape. Some kind of deal seems to have been made here we just don't know what that looks like yet. Maybe Putin traded Syria for Ukraine?

HTS are already moving in to latakia, I doubt the rebels will allow the country that terror bombed them for 10 years to keep their military bases there.
