They mostly just don't know how to react. They make a weird face, then put on their best polite smile and pretend like he's a normal guy because they don't know what to make of him. Surprisingly, when we were in Missouri he got more flak for his style of dress than his voice. One time a car full of drunk hicks pulled up to us and yelled at Shmorky, asking if they could borrow his scarf. Another time we went into Wal Mart and this old cashier lady asked him if he was wearing a costume for some kind of fundraiser or something and then he cried the whole ride home.
Considering that Shmork never dropped the Mickey Mouse voice, even during heated arguments or sex, I really think he started by putting a conscious effort into it and then his voice somehow stuck that way.
I think it was more the humor and writing style that attracted people, even if it was hit-or-miss, when it was good it was good. Also, he really cashed in on the SJW crowd because they'll go for any art that has to do with tr*nsness*** Ever see the Assigned Male, Rooster Tales, or Manic Pixie Nightmare Girls comics? Hugely popular even though they're drawn like utter shit and don't even make the attempt at humor that Shmork did. Shmork was actually capable of creating very good art, I would watch him sit and hand-draw some amazing shit. He just make Klurfs comics because they were easy to mass produce, it was quantity over quality for him.
I don't even think he had a real chest deformity, there was nothing wrong with his chest that I could see and he would make weird stuff up about his body all the time. He claimed he had a full set of ovaries and a uterus inside him and had a hidden vagina between his balls and asshole. It looked like a normal man gooch to me.
He registers all his exes in his mind as just 'people who abused him' I think. Every relationship he told me about, he claimed was an abusive one. People with personality disorders do this thing called idealization and devaluation. When people are doing what they want, they idealize them and say they're their best friend or soul mate, and if they offend, slight, or have a disagreement they devalue them, claiming they're an evil person and the scum of the Earth. A person like Shmorky doesn't see people as people, he kind of sees them like NPCs in an RPG game with a quest, and involves himself with them on the basis of what they can bring him. He saw Carefully as a sex toy and me as a source of income, transportation, home care, and companionship, but that companionship was more a source of entertainment and ego boosting for him. Look at the way every time Carefully tried to truly connect with him by sharing a deeply personal problem with him, he would just brush it off or make it about himself. He did the same thing with me. It was impossible to really connect with Shmorky on an emotional level.

Basically Lowtax never really wanted to mod a forum he wanted to write, but the forum became the money maker. He wants/wanted to have someone else run the fucker. So SA has had a generations of mods.
Ozma was a fat cat lady with no socail life and she tried to run it for years, she got the cat lady brigade in so for a long time making fun of women was a no no.
Then the mods turned to virtue signaling, so if you want to have a crack at being a mod you better show how fucking woke you are.
Now you wanna know if the place is a breeding ground or gathering place.
I would say its both the forums are very very very clicky to the point I would say they balkanized. So you can have some weird off forum that attracts a pedo or two.
You can also have stupid goons who let themselves get pulled into stupid shit, like in the troon thread or hell they had a thread saying it was okay to eat nothing but fat that put a fucker into the hospital.
the key to all this is the fucking mods, they are a bunch of loser sad brains. If some poster is funnier than a mod or doesnt kiss their ass they ban them on flismy reasons. but what we have seen for that last years is basically purging of all converstative thought, it start with helldump and lazzyfair and it my opinion ended when they band the bernie bros for "hating women"
Go to the mods saying some is a pedo, they will ether handle it quitly or ask for proof, and if you come in like this thread with all the documentation they will fucking yell about how creepy you are and ban you.

The troon thread was a breeding ground for troons. It was so toxic. Unstable goons would come in there saying they were depressed or something and troons would convince them they had gender dysphoria and tell them to bypass traditional therapists and psychiatrists claiming they were 'gate keepers' and taught them how to doctor shop to get hormones without a psychological evaluation. They would tell their newly recruited troons to divorce their wives or disconnect from their parents if they weren't completely on board when they came out to them or wouldn't use their preferred pronouns. That fucking thread broke up families.

On a part of the logs carefully 'confronts' him about not being important to him and he "I have mental issues, I can't trust people because everyone will betray me," so I imagined this was a possibility.
Even if you say NPCs, depending on the game, some NPCs can be quite endearing. From my impressions, I'd imagine he registers people as equipment (in your case) or expendable items. All tools meant to recover his ego and solve status ailments such as "im sad someone didnt respect my pronons"

I actually ran into him on Twitter once, something about when Sarkeesian was still relevant. He had serious trouble grasping that her videos could be poorly researched and well behind her deadlines.

Basically, the long and short of it:
- Michelle has a couple characters make a joke about a male character being a "virgin". Said characters making said joke are little kids (twin girls) who are about 7-8 or w/e.
- Someone on Tumblr flips the fuck out and thinks Michelle is insulting asexuals and aromatic people.
- Begins a harassment campaign that continues for months on end and more people get involved in ganging up on Michelle.
- Said harassment campaign includes getting Michelle's DeviantArt account taken down after she posts a picture of a nude Maggie (a 17/18 year old in the comic) surrounded by a bunch of fruit, with said fruit covering her nipples and lady parts. Michelle later does a drawing of a nude Ava (who's a young teen) with obvious signs of self-harm. The harasser and others continue to flip their shit harder and double down.
- Michelle ends up deleting her personal Tumblr blog (Tinyshell) because of this.
- Eventually, Michelle takes a stand and threatens legal action against her harasser. Evidence of this is no longer on her main blog (Tinypaint), but I'm sure a reblog is floating out there somewhere.
- Later, it's revealed that the harassment was basically done by a single person the entire time. I think.
- A year or so later, the harasser apologizes and gives some half-hamfisted reason as to why she went off the deep end.

Michelle herself may seem like an "above it all" sort, but she used to be in the Homestuck fandom and was allegedly a pretty holier-than-thou SJW herself. But eh, I'm not really inclined to believe it unless I see evidence.
Anyways, that's pretty disappointing she's been financially supporting Shmorky, but I'd be willing to bet she probably didn't even have a clue what was really going on either, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt for now. I wonder if she's been made aware of this turn of events, though she's become a really private person since the harassment campaign a couple years ago.

Yup. I think he chose me to be the one to get engaged to because I provided him with companionship and entertainment while putting up with all his shit and I don't think he could find another woman to do that for him. He would often say to me "let's go out, I want to show you off." "I want to take you to the SA office so I can show you off to everyone" "Everybody is probably so jealous of me because I have this beautiful woman by my side." I was flattered by it at the time, but now I realize that I was a status symbol to him, like a fancy car. I was basically a trophy that also took care of him, plus I obeyed his order to stay out of his room so he could ERP with teenagers at his leisure. It was a perfect situation for him. It's kind of a blessing that I had that breakdown and we broke up over it, because now that he's been exposed for what he is I get chills down my spine thinking about what it would be like if I was married to him right now and this was all going on...

If carefully and mandy had met someone nice, they would be spared from getting even more damage to their already sore hearts. There'd be less dirt on Schmorky to laugh about, but there'd be +2 people doing fine on the world.
