They are, thankfully, the minority, but I can't help but think that the people who did disavow him only did so to cover their ass. Sacrifice one of their own to preserve the safety of the hive, the needs of the many tumblrinas outweigh the needs of the few. It's more concern for their own image and ensuring the heat doesn't spread to them than concern for the actual victim.
