This is unfortunately a common sentiment. Anybody who has been within the nuclear radiation of a trans community (whether from outside or within the disaster are-- er, "community" itself) probably has similar tales, but I've seen this sentiment played out in real life. Many, many times. Comments made about FtMs bodies, pointing out obvious female features, getting jealous about their body types or even secondary sex features, really gross shit that they'd fucking REEEEEE over if the tables were turned. Many FtMs I've known through the years ended up cutting off contact with a lot of the MtFs they knew because of this kind of behavior.

And to answer your question, yes, TLL does handle FtM calls differently. Earlier in this thread, probably in the pg. 75-150 range (sorry for such a broad range, I caught up on multiple very long, fast-moving threads at once) a couple Tumblr posts were quoted and I think one anonymous contact to a mod all explained how TLL basically denied their call. Operators rushed off the line, one even saying they essentially didn't require the service because they were FtM. If you catch the statistics on the survey of calls, check the details -- an attempt to initiate a conversation about the common issue of suicidality during the period of questioning was met with a hasty "figure it out and call us back" (not verbatim, but close enough) and a disconnection. There have also been issues raised with people who detransition (basically stopping and/or reverting their transition to birth sex/presentation) being considered ineligible despite all the same background issues.

TLL is a scam for guys who get off on being women for anything from sexual kicks to mid-life crises to oppression points, so it'd make sense that they'd target their audience accordingly. A male who decides to transition mid-life after a career or even having kids 99% of the time overhauls their whole self, but they still retain those sweet $$ from their careers before they trooned out. People with means and awful judgment are the best people to solicit donations from endlessly. It's really no wonder they're on a pedestal.
