@TaimuRadiu are you trans or a chaser, out of interest? If you are trans, can you elaborate on why you think you are a woman? Without relying on stereotypes or sexual fetish, can you explain why trans women feel this way? I’ve yet to encounter anyone with a decent answer to this question, and I want to be open minded. I’ve heard about people feeling they have a female essence, which even if true, why can it not be expressed in a natural way without medical help? Do you see male genes as a cancer that needs treatment?

What’s the betting kiwi farmers could come up with a more plausible and sympathetic explanation, even if they don’t believe it? I’ll take my puzzle pieces.
neither

Hormones and transitioning help trans people so whatever. That's the reasoning. Hormones make everything easier.

It's something that seems to occur in something like less than one per cent of the population and it's been magnified all out of control thanks to the Internet. I would recommend reading the book "Autobiography of an Androgyne" by Jennie June, which dates to about 1918.

They think because people want to dismantle transgenderism they also want every trans identified person lined up and shot like some LiveLeak video.
I mean, at this point that would be a nice bonus, but I'd personally settle for a return to public shaming. If they actually kept that shit in the bedroom we as a society wouldn't be in this situation at the moment, but now that it's observed that we can't trust people not to bring their degeneracy into public and inflict it on the unwilling, get rid of it all. Their actions are why we can't have nice things.

On a lighter note, I heard some funny stuff in voice chat in the last few days. I'm in a few different groups that do organized activities in an MMO, and naturally since Discord is rife with troonery there are a few transes around. I don't really mind that much since we're all just there to game and have fun, but it is interesting that casual transphobia is making its way in. One of our (European?) dudes misgendered the troon regular not once, but twice in the same session, even after being corrected by said troon. Oh, there's an apology, but he did it a second time anyway.

The groups generally try to keep politics out of chat since we're just there to kill bosses and stuff, but when a troon makes an offhand comment about "Just trying to have human rights" and is met with the thickest silence... Feels good. Obviously could just be the unspoken "no politics" thing, but I really do think that the tranny issue is getting uncomfortable for even more left-leaning gamers.

The half dozen or so I’ve encountered… most not detestable but not likeable either.

They can manage, (if allowed to), turn every conversation into talking about themselves and if you haven’t bought a first class ticket on the trans train and allow them to dominate the conversation, they get all quivery lipped and teary eyed.

They’re easy enough to shut down if no one plays ball but they constantly keep trying and just don’t GET that their behaviour is abnormal no matter what sex/gender they think they are.

The ones I know are exhausting and draining.

So how many people actually like transgender people? It all seems like virtue signaling from afar from what I've seen. I've only had to interact with one trans person in real life and their autism was so potent that I just couldn't do it and had to leave. I can't imagine I'm the only one that's been like that.
everyone Ive seen who interact with troons irl always seem either awkward or tend to act the way you do when around children, IYKYK in regards to how women treat children and tards. I feel like whats funny (but also sad) is that an lot of tards in particular aren't even aware of how fake the women are being when talking to them, I guess it ties with not being able to read social cues.

I've gone back to college in a blue city in a blue state as a significantly older than the average student and am in a major that you might think would be pretty all-in on this stuff. (The major itself has nothing to do with it, except of course Everything Is Political)
I was nervous at first I would be forced to contend with answering for my crimes as a colonizing cisheteronormative privilege bigot.
It's really been quite the opposite. There's been one girl in a couple of my classes who is a they/them but she's been pretty pleasant, on a purely superficial level. I think she's just a lesbian who will hopefully figure it out eventually. I have seen a couple MtFs walking around on campus and I make sure I make eye contact and laugh at them and usually say something like "Jesus Christ..." walking past.
But the most notable thing happened the other day: I had to give a presentation with some other classmates to faculty over zoom. Every faculty members display name has their pronouns, but not a single student did. These are young people who were incubated in a nutrient vat of idpol and they're not buying it. It's not a huge sample size, but it did my heart good. Thinking back to other Zooms and Canvas discussion boards etc, I would say the same thing is true. I don't think these people are TERFs or chuds or whatever, they're just normal people, likely leftwingers, who are done, or maybe never even began.
It's no wonder we're seeing so much seething from the most notorious offenders; no one is playing along but cucked professors who are probably contractually obligated to do so.

Same here! The few troons I have seen have been EXTREMELY low-effort (after finally seeing some in person, I think it's laughable they convince each other they can pass and that "straight" men can get tricked into sleeping with them), and nobody else seems to be pozzed. The pooners I've seen have integrated well, act normal, and don't seem freakish at all. This is something that exploded thanks to the internet, and we may have supported it then when we thought it was just a few respectable HSTSs, but these past few years have shown us otherwise, so nobody cares aside from the diehards. Besides, we have so much more to live for than moping over pronouns and social justice! Why would we want to participate in endless struggle sessions when we have our own lives to live and our own things to discover? Also I think high schools are a lot more pozzed than universities because, well, the average troon has the maturity of a 16-year-old at most, and nobody wants to live out endless high school drama when they don't have to.

I'm going to get alarm bells for this, but, with God, help and the power of literacy, I have put down my framework for sex and gender into words.

Sex is one of two usual combinations of physical, genetic, hormonal, and reproductive characteristics. The differences between the two usual combinations allow sex to be bifurcated into male or female, with distinct characteristics belonging to each sex. Genetic abnormalities do not apply to this definition because they do not constitute a "usual combination," and should be treated as medical conditions, not sexes.

Gender comes out of the consequences of those differences in combinations of characteristics, and materializes as things like male or female socialization, and societal expectations. The consquences of the differences in the sexes, over the course of human history, have been reinforced by male physical superiority over wahmen.

They aren't the exact same thing, but moreso gender comes out of sex.

Transgender people attempt to take on the gender linked to the other sex, while retaining their male or female body and the privileges or disadvantages of the sex that they retain, and the gender they are attempting to leave behind.

I am likely stealing from some 60s feminist without knowing who she is

This guy I go way back with, who I mentioned in another thread inexplicably ended up "married" to a troon despite having every other advantage going for him- there's something weird about him and his manhands hon that I can't stop contemplating. I knew of his troonfriend originally under his man name, John Doe. Then I heard about his transition, and that John Doe was changing his name to a cringe troon name taken from an extremely embarrassing piece of geek media- Lara Croft, let's say, to be kind. I was made to understand that they had some kind of falling out around this time. Later, I was introduced to Manhands Ma'am. At no point did anyone say "Manhands Ma'am, formerly known as Lara Croft." I know they would never say "formerly known as John Doe" because muh deadname. But why not say "formerly known as Lara Croft" and establish THAT continuity? The only reason I connected the dots was because I thought Manhands looked vaguely familiar and I did my LDOC thing and looked up the public records and saw the trail of name changes.

I get why they are like this with the "deadnames" but why be like that even with failed former troonnames?

(John/Lara/Manhands is not on the sex offender registry, no, I checked that.)

I used to be friends with a transwoman until the suicide happened. I would get annoyed at the time from some of the mannerisms, but I had lower self-esteem back then so I was a doormat.
They're trying to delete their old memories and their old selves. It's running away from the past.
Can confirm. A "queer" person I used to know transitioned from a gay man to something non-binary, after which there were two name switches.

Yeah, that dude isn’t trans. That’s a gay man. That dude was put through some pretty fucking serious conversion therapy. Inversion was primarily geared towards male homosexual behavior, so pretty much a mental illness pushed to be topped off with a perceived physical sickness. If I remember correctly Karl Heinrich Ulrichs coined the term and claimed that gay men were “a woman’s soul trapped in a male body.” Shocker it wasn’t about fucking other men, but the notion that it is a gender inversion. You’re really just a wee lassie trapped in a man’s body, and vise versa if you like being with the same sex. And considering this dude was likely affluent, at least middle class, someone’s was going to “fix” him. Every single thing dude had done to him and then he has done to himself has all been under the pretense of fixing his inversion. For fuck sake, he took his balls hoping to end his attraction to other men. He just couldn’t accept that he just liked looking at and being sexually attracted to other dudes. The only way he could reconcile with the fact that he couldn’t be fixed was that he really must just a woman in a man’s body.

Take this from a lesbian that tried to fix herself—the sooner you accept you’re just gay, the fucking better. This dude straight up went through conversion therapy. Ray Charles could tell you that in a crowded subway. “Becoming” a woman just mad it more “natural” for him to find another dude hot. It’s a hell of a mental loophole if you’re mentally in the gutter after being literally deemed and treated for a societal perversion. It’s pretty fucking sad too, he had money. No one gave a fuck as long as you had money and didn’t get caught in the act. Your private life was your private life, even if you were going to fuck men at night while your wife is at home sleeping with the baby.

In that era sodomy was punished by jailtime so there wasn't really any acceptance to be had. It was meant to fix any kind of same sex attraction.
Ironically, lesbians were an afterthought. Ulrich treated us like we weren't even there. It took Richard von Krafft-Ebing to look at everyone, and go 'i think those chics are fucking each other.' Technically speaking, nothing illegal was happening. No adultery, no proven sodomy, and no babies. Lesbians were even ignored in the bible, so spiritually we were ordained by god. The only person I know who was ever taken to court in relation to inversion was Radclyffe Halls. She went to court for writing Well of Loneliness, a lesbian story about a cross-dressing woman joining the army. And she only got charged with obscenity. Lesbians were barely a problem in the legal courts and the court of public opinion. For fuck sake, the Victorian era encouraged female companionship and promoted it. There was a woman who joined a convent to fuck nuns and got away with it. Mind you, not a nun, multiple nuns. She bedded so many women, it was obscene

Edit:
A lot of gay men did get away with sodomy actually. In order to actually get charged with it, you had to get caught in the act or bosting about it. For example, Oscar Wilde only got put in jail for gross indecency. All they could prove was that he was romantically involved and, by proxy, sexually with men.
"Before the trial began, it is believed Wilde got romantically involved with Alfred Douglas, whose father, Sir John Sholto Douglas, found out and accused Wilde of sodomy. Queensberry told his son Alfred to stop all contact with Wilde or he’d “disown… and stop all money supplies”... Queensberry provoked Wilde first by slipping him a note that said “For Oscar Wilde, posing sodomite” (Source 6). As a way to defend himself, he went on to convict Sir Douglas of libel. However, Douglas argued that Wilde solicited twelve men to commit sodomy with him between the years of 1892 and 1894, which the court seemed to sympathize with in the first trial. On the third day of the proceedings, Wilde's Lawyer found there was “abundant evidence of clients guilt” and he chose to withdraw from the case..." Lesbians weren't an afterthought. There just wasn't a way to explain it to Queen Victoria!

Lesbians also weren't ignored in the Bible. Romans 24-27 talks about people giving themselves up to degrading passions / contrary to their nature.

Also a lot of the problem with Wilde had to do with that supposedly the Marquess of Queensbury's son was mentally retarded.

This is so autistic, I don’t know what to say. You’re genuinely fucking retarded. I’m catholic and my wife’s Protestant, it wasn’t a problem in the Bible. Butt touching and male masturbation was a problem because it wasted fucking seed. Perfectly good material to make more Christians with. It was also considered disgusting to fuck another man as you would a woman, because you thought of them and treated them as below you. Women are property, men are not. Why would you ever fuck another man like you fuck your property? That’s morally reprehensible and degrading. Shocker that’s what the destruction of sodom was about—not treating your fellow man with the same respect a man should receive.
Also, the Victorian era had the language to explains gays and lesbians—it’s called inverts. The only reason they did create a word was because they started pathologizing everything. Down to what your genitals likely meant about you sexually and morally. Either way, they just didn’t use modern terms like we do. Outside of that, they would just refer to you as liking the company of your own kind. Mind you those discussion only happened privately and never in any public spaces.

Lesbians do not have the health consequences for the public that gay/bi men do. They do not have penetrative sex except for with toys and those are going to be kept clean (I hope) and do not pass STDs as a result since people don't (I hope) share toys. Lesbians have the lowest rate of STDs out of any demographic. Fucking an asshole is just inherently a risky way to get off and inherently unclean. They weren't considered as much of a problem to go after because they weren't a threat to public health and order the way people saw gay/bi men as being. And they weren't seen that way because it's true that they aren't that way. Though some of them do seem to fight each other a lot.
