It might be just the same as the situation back in the day after the Sidescroller interview. At first he was seriously under the impression that it went well. That was, at least for me, the realization on how utterly delusional he has become.
That delusion is not gone. I think all the talk about him turning the tide was serious in a way that he believed it, lmao.

And that has always been his issue. However, that just shows how truly socially, mentally, and emotionally stunted he truly is, without realizing HE is the issue. However, that takes someone that isn't a mental retard to realize that. Like Adam told Phil to his face: "It's everyone else's fault...." and Phil went on the defense that he is "A flawed human like everyone else." Sure, Phil!

Actually, let's do a sandwich shop analogy.

Okay, so you're the owner of a failing sandwich shop. It's been open for 16 years and it used to be a huge destination....since it was the only sandwich shop in town and you were producing a lot of slop at the time. Nowadays, the town is full of millions of sandwich shops that produce higher quality sandwiches with owners that have good personalities. Eventually a big sandwich shop owner comes and finds you funny and invites you to sell sandwiches at their shop for a bit and want to work with you to make your sandwiches better. Instead, you just attempt to steal their customers and are to lazy to do anything they told you to do. All the while, they're laughing at you and calling your wife a fat bitch. You still want to be their friends though!

He probably was hanging around some Trump fans that were talking about it and figured that he could use it for views.

His source is his Twitter, which I can base on having a similar Twitter account that purposely leans right. I got the same braindead "PETA is racist because it says a mixed couple is weird" takes that he repeated, so it might not be based on who he follows but he definitely clicks on a lot of right-leaning blue check marks. Most of the blue checks are morons at this point so if you spend enough time on Twitter you get braindead takes and Phil is terminally online.
