I think porn addiction hit its peak 5-10 years ago and is becoming much less of an issue. It seems like more people, especially zoomers, are aware that excessive porn watching is unhealthy and pathetic.

So then porn is this bright shiny evil thing to crusade against because of the obvious "feel-bad" ugly aspects of it, but the underlying problem is that it's just one of many interchangeable cheap pressure release valves for those who already live vapid, hollow, mechanical lives in relative physical comfort; you're not an insect because you're "addicted" to porn or any other self-destructive vice but rather you only gained the propensity to harbor such "addictions" because you've been made to live as an insect in one way or another by a civilization that thought itself stupid in seeking scientific solutions to animal problems. It has nothing to do with anything as high-minded as morality, or even anything as human-sounding as sexuality, just cold dry studies and statistics suggesting that you'll be comparatively more docile if given enough access to these things (let's call them all, porn included, entertainment products) on top of a baseline level of food, water, shelter, and overall physical comfort. These are of course, flawed, which is why they'll eventually crumble under their own weight, but not too flawed to have partially achieved their intended effect in some widespread defective capacity.

This is all a kind of turn of the century, turn of the millennium malaise in which the consequences of the past hundred and thousand years (thinking science and humanism could erase the need for anything as seemingly irrational as a God or untamable as nature, but the hubris of the rational is always met with the nemesis of the irrational) are catching up with both those who are unaware of what led to this moment in time and those futilely vying to be the architects of the next century or millennium. Barring some total extinction event, it'll even out in the end and a correction to another period of relative stability will occur following some level of upheaval with its attendant casualties if only as a natural consequence of entropy. Then more stagnation and so on and so forth.

But on the broader subject of Evil, in a more objective sense, the seeds of such exist in absolutely everyone by design and trying to deny this rather than understanding it as a trial only gives them the ideal soil from which to sprout.
