I noticed a lot of complaints about Trump's plans to privatize the postal service, and I don't really see the problem? Most people get their mail through e-mail, and if they buy something or ship something chances are they are going to use UPS, FedEx etc. The USPS is a really antique system. Nor is privatizing your postal service unprecedented. Germany, Japan, and The United Kingdom all did it too. And I don't recall any problems.
I think a lot of people just hate Trump, and need to be contrarian.
Also, privatization could be partial if you're worried about rural counties.
we wouldn't get as much junk mail and flyers also.

Unless you force private companies to send ALL post, no matter what is in it or who sends it, then it needs to remain under the gov. This is like Josh waiting for a fed payment processor, you have more rights with the government than with a private entity that will ignore the laws made to keep it neutral if a bunch of trannies scream at it enough.

That still wasn't Heinleinian democracy though since a normal person could not just sign up to join, get a job polishing boots, then become a citizen. At least not according to my knowledge of Sparta which is sourced from 300 and not much else. Either way the dystopia ST describes prior to the federation with "kids" attacking people at random is more prophetic than even teddy boi in my opinion.
Correct, Spartan citizens were born, not made. Part of their eventual downfall, they ran out of citizens. On the other hand, the Founders liked the whole constitution, balance of powers, and rule of law thing, so Sparta was a big influence on them. The US system is actually pretty good, when it's being followed and not all these carve outs that have been made.

the feds have been trying for years to do it by placing huge requirements on them like pre-funding retirement plans 75 years in advance and so on and USPS has managed to meet all of them so far.

I feel like this would be a even bigger cluster fuck. look at the health care industry.

I'm an unironic Heinlein Terran Federation stan so before this conversation devolves into another retarded misinformation shit show like most times Starship Troopers is mentioned, I'll link this so everyone can be on the same page.

TL;DR

The Terran Federation is a representative meritocratic democracy.
Military service is not required for Citizenship, it is but one avenue for Federal Civil Service.
Everyone can become a Citizen as long as they understand the oath they are taking.

Starship Troopers was based on the Ancient Spartan system of earning citizenship through military service

See under Myth #3:
For what it's worth, Poul Anderson -- a self-described libertarian -- reached the same conclusion:

I never joined in the idiot cries of "fascist!" It was plain that the society of Starship Troopers is, on balance, more free than ours today. I did wonder how stable its order of things would be, and expressed my doubts in public print as well as in the occasional letters we exchanged. Heinlein took no offense. After a little argument back and forth, we both fell into reminiscences of Switzerland, where he got the notion in the first place. [Anderson 1992:319]

If you want to know how Trump will be treated in the future look at how Nixon is treated everywhere.
Nixon isn't treated bad everywhere, there are still a lot of people that respect him as a leader and president. Besides, most people who hate Nixon only know about Watergate and his futurama parody.

Nixon only got rehabbed because W triggered libs so bad they had to make Nixon look good to vilify W as the new evil.
Didn't Oliver Stone rehab Nixon with his film, and that was '95

I unironically learned more about Nixon and grew to love Richard Nixon because of Futurama and Matt Groening's Nixon Derangement Syndrome

The man fascinates me

No, Stone made Nixon because he got a ton of shit for JFK being less about the man and more about the conspiracy theories about his death combined with Stone being sick of being called a lunatic lefty, even as the left turned on him over Natural Born Killers. So he took a guy he hated, Nixon, and decided to make an apolitical bio film about him just to show he could.

Nixon flopped hard with critics and viewers. But Stone credited the film for showing him he can make apolitical films if he wanted to and impacted how he made films going forward.

It was Hunter Thompson that actually spearheaded the Nixon rehabilitation movement. Hunter wrote multiple pieces for ESPN where he basically said Nixon would hate W per the fact that the left REALLY REALLY HATED Bush that much.

Shit like this depresses me.

Id like a white pill but they ain't doing shit about the drones.

So there is a good possibility that this unibrow shooter might have killed that guy because insider trading and not to make a political statement?
I believe the shooter is legit from deep diving in his thread. He's not typical right or left from his writings despite his family connections, more of a centrist mix. What I can't guarantee is if he was secretly groomed/Manchurian agented into it. Some kind of drug he took for the pain did seem to fuck up his mind and made him go off the grid from family since January. That being said the op was intelligently executed and police have shared that his planning notes actively disregarded the idea of using a bomb because it would harm civilians. A typical fed/plant wouldn't care.

But assuming it is a glow up or private money enterprise I think it backfired horribly. The goal isn't to unify the country and make everyone realize how much they fucking hate the system. The goal is to sow division and make cash on the side. This whole incident has the potential to plant the seeds for future healthcare reform that could very well destroy the Grifting machine

Id lol if pelosi got pushed down the stairs for this.

God bless that man
He avenged his sensei/her husband. Its about that time in the arc before the big battle begins he goes to pay his respects and she can see the results of his training.
The meme being real never stops bringing Joy to my heart.

Nixon and Kissinger would have been able to play the War on Terror much better than Dubya and Cheney, that is for sure.

A better more believable conspiracy theory would be that the UHC murder was a DNC hit job, one of many to come as the Democrats start redirecting Antifa rage against executives of big companies who happen to be anti-woke and pro-Trump or in the case of the UHC guy, part of an industry that routinely funds the GOP to crush Democrats in off year elections whenever Democrats try and pass healthcare reforms. Because while they can't kill Trump, they can kill his corporate handmaids that don't have Musk and Theil tier protection.

Open TDS retard LegalEagle, is sueing the FBI and DOJ.

For what?

Oh.... For not persecuting Trump successfully

Don't be surprised when he suddenly just gets millions of dollars out of nowhere

(Also could someone archive this please?)
Here you go.
