Thinking about it now, shift in design philosophy happened from Mass Effect 2 onward, with BW games becoming simplified, so I wonder if it was EA, or BW choice
That was when women got into writing gay fanfics of game characters, and every Bioware game since has been a gay dating simulator for crazy cat ladies.

Mass Effect didn't have the same number of cat ladies, though, at least not to the same fervor as Dragon Age. I think it's because these ladies in general don't gravitate to the machismo of space opera. The most rabid fanbase is, I believe, the Tali-mancers, although Thane gets many cat ladies because he is smole, dying, UwU so precious.

Having make-believe romance and sexy times with sparkling brooding elves and Disney princes are more their thing, and the lack of fixed protagonist identity means that they can project all their autistic societal malfunctions onto their character.

Wasn't Mass Effect 2 greatly streamlined and stripped of almost all it's RPG elements because some dipshit journalist couldn't figure out how to level up and gave the first game a very negative review.
Yes, Game Journalists are responsible for turning Mass Effect into a generic pop up shooter with very very light RPG elements.

Why do you need a mod to see Harding's moobs?

I swear I remember back when Bioware were frantically trying to market this game as a totally dark and mature experience one of the things they claimed was that it was going to have full frontal nudity like Baldur's Gate 3.

Did that end up not making it into the game?

If so probably for the best.
Nudity in games is weird to me. It serves no real purpose beyond a very miniscule amount of immersion and you cant actually take advantage of it anyway or else you get an AO rating. So it's probably best to just not do it at all unless you're willing to commit to the bit.

I prefer it over the absolute absurdity of clothed sex scene.

There's a lot of reasons but you're basically on point. Mass Effect also borders on Military Sci-Fi which is like pussy repellant. Regardless of what you want to be, in Mass Effect you at Shepard, a relatively straight laced and professional soldier who shoots motherfuckers. You can't be a super secret space princess who wears pretty dresses to deadly combat situations, you can't be a goofy little gay vampire boy, and if you are one of those stinky fujos who love gay man buttsex you have to trudge all the way through Mass Effect 1 and 2 before you can make man Shepard have poop sex with Kaidan.

Compared to Dragon Age, which is ludicrously feminist and has multiple cute boys for your City Elf princess to have sex with from the very start. It's no surprise Mass Effect is more male-oriented.

It is far more noticeable in a medieval fantasy setting. Only women can be priests, the messiah was a woman, one of the toughest enemies in the entire game is some random female knight, and the queen was ackshully running the kingdom for a good part of the king's reign.
i like origins but i rolled my eyes so goddamn hard at those last bits

Yeah that was always pretty ridiculous. It was balanced out a bit by all the fantasy racism, being able to harden Alistair and make him a good king, and all the rape.

Maybe in Leliana's Song.
We're never explicitly told. The blood splatter just near her crotch could've already been there, and I sincerely doubt soldiers would be interested in mutilated pussy.

The City Elf origin has plenty though, lol.
including but not limited to pimping out your bitch of a cousin
fucking based decision if you ask me

LMAO - Veilguard is already 40% off in the early access holiday sale for PS Plus members.

I haven’t played the game yet. Based on everything I’ve heard I believe that it’s a decent game that would deserve a rating of around 70 -75% if it wasn’t dragged down by terrible writing.

But sales cannot be great if it’s being discounted so deeply, so early.

>it's a decent game
no it's really REALLY not, not only does it piss on the IP the fans loved but even if you disregard all the terrible story, characters and lore the gameplay is just dull.
