It’s canon that Luffy and Zoro spare their opponents because they believe having your dreams crushed in front of you is all the greater a punishment.

Really, like Devil Fruits adapting to clothes, it’s a convention that would totally change the tone of the story (and make things less confirming for Oda) were it implemented differently.
 
You guys seen that Jello apocalypse video about one piece? This guy is absolutely ass blasted about one piece. There's leaks apparently of him wishing oda death in his discord, and in the video towards the end he implies oda is a pedophile who'd sexualize his own daughters. He also blatantly knows nothing about the story yet hate read it twice. Now I'm not that far in (only at water 7) but even i know this stuff is blatantly wrong.

I watched the first episode of this Fishman Island remake, it was a weird experience. It's almost running at 1.5 speed compared to the original. I know this is probably just being used to the 1 episode=1 chapter filler but that having the extra things being skipped like Zoro showing up first felt weird. It's also looking like an early AI attempt to just run some old animation through a filter with very thick lines, as the mouths clearly move in a much more added after the fact than in usual anime production. The whole thing is straddling this line between post-Skypiea animation and the early days of that very old school, very shoestring animation style, it's almost much more a motion comic than anime.

I would buy that and as much as I meme about it...it's factually true that Luffy did legitimately do something that would kill both Buggy and Wapol had they not gotten astoundingly lucky...and actually now that I think about it..he yeeted Lucci out of the Bridge tower place thing with Gear 3..and he would have died by water too.

I am honestly of the opinion that while Luffy is not particularly bloodthirsty..he also doesn't particularly care if he does kill someone.

(Sorry this post took so long to do, my Manga reader site is acting slow as fuck the past couple of days so it took forever to find the exact context of Luffy Gear 3 Punching Lucci out of the tower)

I really just want a Devil Fruit user to get confirmed dead by drowning. Doesn’t have to be Usopp, but I’d like Usopp to pull a Don Krieg and attack the platform a Devil fruit user is on and doom them to the ocean.

It doesn't make someone immortal, just stops them from aging. So someone that got the surgery can still drown. I agree that if anyone will drown to death, it'll be Blackbeard. Of course there's always poor Eric...

Also, wasn’t it said Ope Ope no Mi would be something drastic if combined with the treasure of Mary Geoise?

As for Blackbeard, I’m only waiting for some payoff to where it was said Blackbeard was not the one Roger is waiting for…and Luffy is.

I always liked the DF's weakness. You trade the ability to swim for super powers (and the ability to swim might as well be a super power out in the open sea). You gain potentially godlike power, but in the same breath you also gain a critical Achilles heel in a world made of water. I wish this weakness was capitalized on by more non-DF users. It might have given the scrubs more to do.

Zoro is more power than speed like Raiden..I guess that means..

Especially when if Enel is a paralell to him he’s likely going to end the series getting his wish. Everything seems set up for Imu and Luffy to throw hands, end up liking each other and Blackbeard mercing Imu while he’s down.

I think there is Zero chance that Luffy and Imu end up friendly if only because Imu wants Vivi as his sex slave or wants Vivi dead.
