It was on 12/12/2004 in Japan. It was a bit of a paper launch, they sold 200k units and barely were able to produce any more for Japan for months. The PSP launched on this day 20 years ago.

So did anyone ever manage to dump the roms from the Genesis Mini 2? There were quite a few unreleased games and new Genesis ports.
I could almost swear it at least got dumped and decrypted but I have no source for that (I'd link it if I knew). I think only Space Harrier 1+2 require fantasy hardware to run and the others would run with a standard emulator of flashcart or whatever. The prob there is they let M2 do their fantasy console bit again by having them make a "what if Sega cut the useless SMS mode shit instead of the scaling hardware back in 1987" emulator so even with the roms there's no way of running them right now because no one's replicated whatever die layout reading fantasy gayming shit M2 got into.

If I had one of those fancy donator emotes, I'd give you one.Merry (Early) Christmas
How to make /vr/ go into angry autist mob mode harder than when they had to confront the GBA being 20 years oldI propose the older consoles get moved to "Vintage" and stuff that is post N64 and pre Wii U become "Retro".
Once you start noticing that even remakes are becoming retro it's pretty bad... Final Fantasy and Super Mario 64, for example.>Suddenly in the mood to play some some casual games from gamehouse or popcap
>Find pirated copies
>Take a glance at the year of release of each game
>Many are from the early and late 2000s

It just hit me that these casual games are now considered retro.

1986 was also 16 years old when Vice City came out. People saying PS2 generation isn't retro can cope, seethe etc.I was looking at playing GTA4 and looking online I realized that game is now 16 years old.
I don't care if you are unwilling to describe it as a retro I'm happy to call it vintage but these things are so old. The unwillingness to talk about them as a separate category from current gaming seems really strange.
OMFG YES! This is my favorite N64 game.Surprised it hasn't been brought up here
Star Fox 64 joins the slowly growing list of N64 games with pc ports
it looks really good so far, widescreen and improved framerate are a much enjoyed and needed new aspect and i'd imagine when it actually releases there will be more improvements and features
Aquas especially without lag looks incredibly good
It doesn't look like it uses (by default) the uncompressed voice clips, but start with purity first. Would be the superior version of it for sure.Surprised it hasn't been brought up here

WWF sure. Body Harvest isOkay, now PC port of WWF No Mercy and Body Harvest and we're good.
Competition is stiff thereIt's the most overrated garbage on N64.
Well on the bright side there's still ship of harkinion 1 and 2 which have better settings. So not much of a loss if Wiseguy pussies out.N64Recomp and its accompanying Zelda 64: Recompiled haven’t gotten new commits in three months. I don’t feel so good N64bros…
From what I've researched is that the N64Recomp documentation doesn't really exist and it's not just a "dump source code and source port can be made" 1-2-3 enterprise. You still need super autists that understand the code of the game in question. So there's source ports we may never see unless there is a dedicated programming autist for said game.N64Recomp and its accompanying Zelda 64: Recompiled haven’t gotten new commits in three months. Yeah, the GitHub issues are full of people trying to understand how the hell you use this thing. The main dev has said for a while that he’ll make documentation but still hasn’t done it, so all we’ve gotten are some tech demos and I think the Japanese version of one of the Goemon games. From what I've researched is that the N64Recomp documentation doesn't really exist and it's not just a "dump source code and source port can be made" 1-2-3 enterprise.
