It would cease being such a thing if it were not for profit. I don't mean doctors and nurses don't get paid, I mean there is no executives or paperwork. My utopia is not all that farfetched. All it requires is for people to take the term "public servant" literally and by that I mean a lottery by which public slaves are selected to perform governmental tasks and if they do such a poor job that they have a sub 30% approval rate they are executed in a colloseum via monster truck battle. If the country goes into debt during their time they are also executed. If they have an approval above 75% they are harvested for sperm and eggs and used to breed a race of judges who are taught from birth nothing but the writings of Clarence Thomas and traditional legal analysis. If they stray from this path they are sentenced to wear the balldo


All governmental officials are required to wear bodycams recording 24/7 and if they remove them they die. The correct reaction to the lolbertarian analysis that governmental power is inherently bad is not to just hand over power to oligarchs. The correct reaction is to reinstate slavery with the government as the slave.

Because it raise the Debt Ceiling. Now I get why Trump wants that: Trump wants the debt ceiling increase while Biden is POTUS so he doesn't have to bargain away part of his agenda for his 2026 budget. Also his tax cuts are going to require a debt ceiling increase along with his increased spending on border policies/deportation are going to require more spending. Better to get it down now rather then have to bargain later.

Right, but there would still be a finite number of doctors, and we'd still be mortal, thus there would still be a political demand for there to somehow be infinite doctors. Since the government can't summon infinite doctors out of the ether, it will do the next best thing, summon infinite bureaucrats.

Yep but too bad the "principled" conservatives have zero eye for legislative strategy and only see what is right in from of them. Obviously this vote specifically is on the Dems as they voted overwhelmingly no but just makes me hate these dudes even more. Shutting down is great and I personally think a long term shutdown is fine but eventually it will reopen and Trump will be forced to give up billions if not trillions to get the debt ceiling raised so he can fund deporting millions. This CR was the best strategy play, Shutdown may still be a positive for Trump but its less of a guaranteed play.

TLDR: RINOs rapidly and effectively BtFO by X thanks to Musk, is most likely permanent.

There would be more doctors without the healthcare cartels and government artificially suppressing the number of doctors to protect their line going up.
