It's not something to do with Biden unless they're 25thing him tonight and are going to spring it on him out of the blue.

Some people on Twitter are saying there was another (successful?) attempt on Trump's life (and this is Biden/Kamala trying to figure out how to pull the country out of an immediate civil war) but I think that's just trolling.

I doubt this is them coming back to deal with the government shutdown, that seems like more of a zoom meeting with swamp critters than Biden / Kamala.

There is the drone situation in NJ, as well as the lost nuclear material, but neither Biden nor Kamala are mentally sound so I doubt they'd be involved with that other than for appearances.

It all makes sense when you understand the status quo is preferable to these professional losers, than the possible future where Trump’s promises are fufilled. That, and them thinking merely feigning anger on X wouldn’t light a fire under “D.O.G.E.” CiCs Elon and Vivek proverbial asses. Typical Boomer/Gen X idiocy.

@Gehenna's suggestion that Johnson is playing the long game does make sense. but I don't trust him. After Trump spoke with Zelensky before he was elected, Johnson was on some talk show and he sounded irate that Trump dare talk to him. Like personally offended. Which is why I was surprised he's been almost literally in Trump's pocket lately. If he's really playing both sides, he's terrible at it.

Johnson isn't the one who made the CR. The leader of the senate isn't the one who drafts the bills, he's the one who is 'supposed' to see they pass and to handle the function of the House. That absolute abhorrence of a bill was being crafted ever since the last CR mainly and largely by Uniparty assets on both sides.

Johnson, whether or not you think he was playing the long game, was -handed- an atrocious bill. There is absolutely no sign he had any hand though in drafting it.

Now I will note, and this is to Nigel, there is a difference between what he intends to do and how well he does it. My pet theory is that he is playing the long game to try to wait it out until Trump is in office. No 4D chess is needed and anyone saying that is kinda an idiot who has no understanding at all of how politics functions. It requires no real 4D chess bullshit to try to pass as little as possible and just wait for outside pressure to let you can things you don't like. And that is all I think he is doing, that is the long game. No maneuvering just avoiding passing anything and anything that has enough momentum behind it like that CR, you deliberately hash to such a degree that it inevitably creates enough controversy to give you a reason to get rid of it.

Call it a hunch, but it seems to me that they want Heels Up and Feels Up close by so they can try forcing the pork bill through, be it through veto override (Trump), or by giving whatever scheme they're thinking of a sense of legitimacy. Remember, Biden isn't fit to stand trial, yet fit enough to hand out pardons for anything that happened within the past ~10 years. They don't need his opinion, they need his signature. I just think that Barris getting called back after the bill got indirectly vetoed, right before the holidays, is too suspect.

Otherwise, they're just tired of Biden and Harris' fuck ups, and want them on a shorter leash. No more vacationing in Delaware and Hawaii while the midterms that 40% pay raise is at stake.

I wouldn't be surprised if they told him to get his ass back in the white house and stay there until he negotiates a deal to keep the government open, threatening to hit Hunter with unpardonable state level charges if he doesn't comply.

No. Without increasing the debt ceiling he can still do what he wants to do. He and DOGE will just have to cut much deeper to make room in the existing budgets.

I would look very closely at the pork. Some is fine, it how you earn votes that are hesitant. "The Thin Veneer of Corruption" that politics runs on.

A massive doorstopper of pork is absolutely not allowable, and so is pork which only serves the congress critters. It needs to benefit their constituents with some kickback potential for the congress critters. A massive part of the current problem is that congress stopped doing that and just gave themselves money either directly or indirectly with the
indirect' still going to them as the majority.
