To paraphrase, karl's lawyer presented to the judge an incorrect timeline that makes it seems as though Karl took down his video, spoke to apollo legends about his mistake regarding a settlement between apollo and billy and them put the video back up with error. Essentially, making Karls seem malicious and defamatory. The judge accepted the incorrect timeline and questioned Karl's lawyer. Karl's lawyer apparently has aspergers because he crumbled when the judge questioned on this crucial but clarifable misunderstanding. Basically TG and KJ hire retard lawyers.

The public believes Billy is a cheater and not only a cheater but one who is willing to put his critics through immense stress and legal bills to earn symbolic victories largely through court legalese.

The only path forward for Billy to repair his reputation would have been to say something like: "Yes I cheated. Due to the immense pressure to follow up the fame from King of Kong with greater and greater accomplishments." The public would have largely forgotten at some point and Billy could have led his own redemption arc trying to "reclaim" past scores. No one disputes Billy was good at the game.
Even Karl, acknowledges that.

Billy is detested because he tripled down more and more. Karl stated in court (can be found in one of the day write ups) that he underesitmated this process. Court isn't just dropping Facts like a youtube video and DESTROYING the otherside. Their is rules and nuance to it, which of course; is filled with some bullshit and nonsense.

Yes he does. He was going on podcasts, doing interviews, and going to conventions when this was bubbling up in 2018/2019 and pleading his case. His actions all suggest a man who cares deeply about his reputation and wants revenge against those who go against him.

I give him grace for not expecting discovery and court to be as stressful as it has heen for him. I fault him for being naive and and arrogant though. Billy Mitchell had sued many people by the time he got to Karl. The pattern is pretty clear. If someone with a litigious temperment threatens you, its time to lawyer up and shut up until you can be clear where things lie. Karl may win, but if he loses; his video about the apollo legend settlement will sink him due to the incorrect information. All of that could have been avoided by clearing things with an attorney.

That's generally considered a rule of thumb, but jurisdiction over a lawsuit is proper in both the state where the alleged harm occurred and in the state where it was committed. Since what Race did in Ohio isn't illegal there, but it is in Florida, Florida would have subject matter jurisdiction over the dispute.

However, the Florida Supreme Court found that personal jurisdiction was granted "improvidently" and that requiring someone with no sufficient contacts with Florida to defend a lawsuit in Florida was inconsistent with "fair plan and substantial justice." Had Race had sufficient contacts, the result might have been different. That wouldn't necessarily mean Billy would have won, but that he'd at least have had a shot to present his case.

(I have some other thoughts on this but don't want to inadvertently help Billy Jackoff.)
