You’re misreading the code you posted. This isn’t a shadowban, this is a max length temp ban. The reasons for this are twofold:

1) It sends the new account a notification with the ban reason telling them to change their name.

2) Permabanned accounts cannot change their name, temp banned accounts can. The original name can then be wiped and the ban reversed. It takes all of 10 seconds for both parties.

This is done specifically to avoid nastygrams from a service provider threatening him over BEHEAD_NIGGER_BABIES. The place got booted from somewhere like a year(?) ago over Joan’s “post your nasty feet” contest because this was deemed non-negotiable solicitation of explicit content. When we found dozens of other feet-based things being served by this same company after reasoning with them had failed, they did actually nuke all of those too, in their defense.

Tech companies are not reasonable. Tech companies are not useful. Tech companies are constantly looking for ways to stop accepting your money for the service they provide.

Temp banned accounts can post to h/chudrama though, hence the handful of permatempbanned accounts with durations of like 36000 days. Which is honestly a solid feature and allows for staples like Jared_Taylor and HailVictory1776 to continue posting without issue.

They were all throwaway accounts shadowbanned on their first post/comment for saying anti-Aevann stuff/mentioning this thread as I knew they would be. I don't ever really use multiple active alts somewhat toeing the get-Aevann'd line. You could look at my password manager login dates and what each account has posted, 99% is just making accounts for future, using one until I get shadowbanned, and switching to another.
