This is, for better or worse, the latest evolution of the Kiwi Farms: the shittiest genre of cow is perpetually among us. Op, online communities are composed of individuals, fluctuating constantly, and are never quite the same one day to the next, or one moment to the next for that matter.
They are less an object and more an ongoing phenomenon, like the individuals they are composed of, they have moods, and if it's dead one week, then it may be alive the next depending on prevailing conditions.
