I have a real good excuse as to why my Nintendo Switch 2024 Replay is
NOT something to brag and ride back home for:

- There‘s some NS games that I bought and have not played yet due to what other Kiwis have stated on here, dating from personal obligations and other forms of hobbies.
- Jojo’s All Star Battle R took up most of my time, to the point where it almost sounds like I neglected other games on purpose. One example being that I still have yet to play the Super Mario RPG remaster since I wanted to do a comparison test to see if it’s better than the SNES version.
- Mario and Sonic: Olympics games are what some would call a “guilty pleasure”, even though admittedly the Tokyo version seemed to make me wish there were more sporting events to try in the game. Though, it was still decent.
- I bought Super Mario Wonder and a Dead or Alive: Xtreme Volleyball Scarlet and I spent more time watching videos of gameplay than actually playing them. If I recall, Wonder was one of the best game of 2023.
- I spent more time re-learning how to play games on the PC than playing on my Switch.
Overall, I made a mental note to not neglect my Switch for next year since I’m unsure if I want to try out NS Switch 2 now that I have a Valve Steam a deck with me. Plus, this weekend I’m getting some Switch games so it should be the start of a somewhat optimistic 2025 as far as gaming on the Switch goes.
Cuphead and Klonoa will be the first two up, and the Sonic games — mainly Sonic Frontiers, Forces and Generations with Shadow — and Hades, along with Link’s Awakening and Zelda: Echoes with Silence. I might even go back and play the Mario and Rabbids series, mixed with Princess Peach: Showtime that was pretty popular at one point.
Unpopular opinion:
Mario and Luigi: Brothership deserves more positive reviews, since I don’t really buy the mixed and average reviews that come with it.
