Good recap.Well, this was something. Wasn't much interesting. Just more bribing and emotional breakdowns. Love how he hyped the game up to have 2,000 people competing, only for less than 500 to actually do the games. Can't make this up any further if I could. The contestants in his Squid Game video had more opportunities compared to the 1,500 people who got out in just two videos.
Good recap.
I almost managed to watch the full first episode.
It is not a good show. I think as a contestant you are probably an idiot if you don't just take one of the bribes and get the hell out. There are so many demonstrations of arbitrary elimination, relying on the trust of strangers to not be greedy, or maybe even more greedy for future buyouts so they wait a bit more. If you get a shot to just get out with something that seems like the best option.
Bribery is not compelling, there is no competition for the most part, just an odd lottery.
It is depressing to watch.
Funny that you say that, I had drafted a post which said: "What talents does Jimmy possess outside of "guy with money"?"Does Jimmy have any personality whatsoever? Any hobbies or interests?
In any of his interviews he has nothing interesting to say, his whole life seems to be just about making as much money as possible
And I'm not surprised that IGN's low score triggered him. Jimmy was always a thin skinned faggot when someone didn't kiss his ass. He's fucked if he ever gets into politics
You're ignoring how Jimmy attained his success. I think he has/had great creativity and skill as director for his little projects, I think also he had a friendly, "nice guy" vibe too him (before people noticed how blank he came across, this could though be due to his modern routine which is dedicated to the channel). The video that made him blow up was the counting to 100k video which was dumb and simple (as a concept not in practice) but something that does capture your attention.Funny that you say that, I had drafted a post which said: "What talents does Jimmy possess outside of "guy with money"?"
Which leads to me to the rhetorical question of: Why do people even like him? The answer is money of course. People only like him because of fame and money. Jimmy is the worst parts of celebrity worship mixed in with being stupidly rich. No one really likes him. They just like his money.
I think everyone’s off base on the bribes. I get it’s boring but I don’t think he’s doing it because he thinks it’s really compelling. My take is that he wanted to break the record for number of contestants, but it’s a record because it’s an unmanageable number of contents. It’s difficult logistically while filming, but also difficult in the edit because you can’t know about or care about that many people. So I think he’s just trying to dwindle the numbers to a reasonable amount as fast as possible. Once you get it down, now you run it like any other contest but you still get the record. You said it well, sir. That's what a large chunk of his videos are. Just lotteries disguised as games. He knows his audience. He knows people are willing to sacrifice themselves or others for some cash. He knows he can easily manipulate everyone because he knows how the entertainment landscape works. That's why he's so successful. That's why his Squid Game video was so successful. He took everything about game shows and reality shows and amped them up to his own molded liking.
Maybe it truly was for the best of the contestants to accept the bribes. I'd rather go home with $2,000 or even $25k-$100k in my pocket than literally nothing (everyone who gets eliminated gets $2,000 in compensation, I forgot to add that. I feel it should be higher depending on how far someone's in the game, though.). In the end, only one person is getting that $5,000,000, right? Why not take advantage of the bribes to get some free money by eliminating yourself? It's that exact mindset that Mr. Beast took advantage of, and will continue to do even if he's a trillionare.
Basically like Paris Hilton, essentially famous for being famous.Funny that you say that, I had drafted a post which said: "What talents does Jimmy possess outside of "guy with money"?"
Which leads to me to the rhetorical question of: Why do people even like him? The answer is money of course. People only like him because of fame and money. Jimmy is the worst parts of celebrity worship mixed in with being stupidly rich. No one really likes him. They just like his money.
2024: when fucking IGN is the voice of reasonAnother review, this time from IGN. They gave it a 2/10. What's different this time is it pissed off Jimmy enough for him to cope tweet about it.

MrBeast is so thin skinned, sorry Jimbo but every fucking tv show and movie (at least from bigger studios) can have thousands of people working on it, and it can still get low ratings. That's part of life.Another review, this time from IGN. They gave it a 2/10. What's different this time is it pissed off Jimmy enough for him to cope tweet about it.

By "pouring their lives" I am gonna assume he meant all the on-set casualties that he covered up.Another review, this time from IGN. They gave it a 2/10. What's different this time is it pissed off Jimmy enough for him to cope tweet about it.

Given he faked most of his charity work and the ones he did help, he was just taking credit for already existing charities, then yes.So does this entire situation vindicate all the wokists who hated MrBeast during the curing blindness thing because they thought he didn't actually care about the people be was helping and was only doing it for publicity?
Is that a fucking hoodie under that "suit"?View attachment 6787967
Imagine intentionally dressing like a bum to your own event. At least he's learned to actually touch her this time, though it looks a little too intentional to my judgy eyes.
