Exactly. That's all that needs to be said. He has no interest, no care, and to be honest holds active disdain for Americans and the American worker. He sees American workers and American working culture as inhibiting his ability to create his Cyberpunk fantasy of chips in peoples' brains and rich manors in domes on Mars. He believes all problems are downstream of technological advancement being strangled by inhibitions from the Government, and wants them all removed and believes that any problems that arise from this can simply be built away from.

Greenland has something like 10% of all mineral resources on the planet. Russia and China are very very aggressively pursuing Greenland. Denmark openly admits they can not afford to defend Greenland properly. The US Cold-War era military bases need a major overhaul. Especially to catch up to what Russia has been up to.

He isn’t an AI expert or even a programmer. He was a “product manager”, which is a useless role, especially for backend services where engineering does all the design:



Look at how vague the descriptions of his work are. Every LinkedIn I’ve seen from a qualified person either just lists the companies (because they don’t really use LinkedIn) or describes the projects they worked on in detail. They don’t write general descriptions like “worked on various APIs” and “lead several core consumer product teams”.

If he applied to a role I was hiring for, I’d throw his resume in the trash. If you can’t describe what you worked on, then I will assume that you did nothing.

He only managed to escape Musk’s purge of Twitter because before Elon bought it, he had already switched to being an analyst for a venture capital firm:



None of the startups he’s invested in at Andressen-Horowitz are successful (most of them are crypto junk). Some of his “advisor” companies are, but I suspect that he’s not really an advisor to those companies and that he’s just listing his stock portfolio.

Elon believes that people like this should be fired from his companies and the government, yet he thinks that this guy is qualified to advise the President of the United States on AI strategy and that more people like him should be brought into the country? Why?

People worried about Trump's immigration stance need to leave the echo chamber for a sec. Trump is still the boss. It's HIS cabinet, and NOBODY bosses him around. NOBODY. Yet SpaceX has zero H-1Bs thanks to ITAR. Even if ITAR wasn’t a thing, they still wouldn’t be able to hire any Indians because they don’t study aerospace and mechanical engineering (probably because they can’t pass the Professional Engineer exams). This is reflected in H-1B statistics that show that 90+% of them are given out for computer-related occupations.

The American SpaceX team built a rocket that can land vertically while the Indian Tesla software team created a “self-driving” car that crashes into stationary objects if the driver doesn’t constantly monitor it, automatic wipers that don’t work, and automatic high beams that blind oncoming traffic.
