Ai replacing Youtube Content, Media, and News Thread - To AI presidents playing Minecraft, AI porn sites, AI generated content. How long before AI content makes us brain rottted?

Well a talented autist who talks about animation shows named Blooms made a video about how Youtube Automation is taking over their side of the internet.

Basically Blooms reviled an AI channel ran by people from Goatfuckastan (Pakistan) and No Poo in Loo county (Inda) on how they are hired to make a channel, publish 60-90 minutes of content a week for Youtube.
They take a topic and put it in an AI script, its that crazy.

Presidents Play is one of the good AI presidents gaming channels, because there's a dude writting the scripts and acting all the playthroughs for real. If it's used as yet another tool for funny things, I dig it.
Also Frank Sinatra singing "Can I put my balls in your jaws" is a classic now.

and pretended that he did this for any other reason then someone new, someone competitive, was cutting into his market at a rate he knew he couldnt keep up with. He moral fags for an hour about ethics while never once acknowledging his conflict of interest here. The fact is, these people's type of cookie cutter, middle of the road, kids show book report content, is and will always be dribble, and AI excels at this stage at making dribble.

I've watched them before and the dude has a dynamic of character building in edits and dialog, plus he doesn't make the trio hate each other but nag to each other like life friends or buds at a discord call.

Speaking of YouTube AI fuckery, I came across this video recently. The channel has nothing to do with AI, tech or current events and I never heard of it but the video is going viral because it is about AI.


In summary, YouTube stealthy rolled out a feature for creators back in late October to allow them to get AI created responses to comments on their videos. To make things worse they obviously trained their LLM models on the video transcripts and comments left by the youtuber so it would sound "closer" to them.

Fucking disgusting.

I like having Dagoth Ur read HP Lovecraft; this shit is what present AI is good for, memes and novelties (and deception via voice / face cloning, but there's a downside to everything). Shame it has to be hyped as "1000% HUMAN INTELLECT IMMORTALITY SINGULARITY AUTO CHILDRENS ENTERTAINMENT CODING SAVANT SUPERFUTURE SKYNET TERMINATOR" and such.

Currently AI is too trash to be useful to the average person beyond it being an interesting curiosity. The real problem is that this current low level AI content will flood the Internet and make search engines and stuff useless, there'll need to be specialized research engines designed to weed out such stuff.

When I was about the age of 4, I used to believe that every single person that I interacted was a robot in disguise, including my parents. I wonder how kid me would feel knowing that he would be right 20 years after.

I really just want to blame on capitalism, and say that the current internet is a souless husk of itself mainly and only because of most of its content creators selling out... but even then, I don't fully believe on that statement. Still, it makes me feel nostalgic when I could watch a youtube video or read a blog post without seeing "This post was sponsored by X product" and the said content being 20x longer than it should be because of muh engagement. AI is just the next natural step on the degradation process tbh.

I remember watching the first video when it came out.
Shows how easy it was to automate a "TTS reads something online while popular game plays in the background" video, before GPT and the wave of generative AI giving people who put in little effort the gift of procedural slop factories.
