Actually, I have pondered whether TLL is guilty of gender discrimination according to state or federal law. TLL being a special interest non-profit may or may not exempt them from otherwise applicable anti-discrimination laws. If they actually have many paid operators now (though they're not doing anything obviously), they could be subject to employment laws. I haven't had a chance to research the matter, but it's definitely something worth pursuing. Laws which would apply which include the "gender identity" class would protect cisgender people from discrimination I assume.

Ahh, the post they linked to was LordHaurchefant's first broadside. Bitch is behind the times. He wrote a Part 2 which alas seemed to get little attention. He also wrote on the Waite suicide and a rebuttal to TLL's Medium article which responded to his first one (TLL disabled their comments). I need to go over all of it again at some point. Oh, yes. Unless I'm thinking of a different post, please correct me. However, I looked at the screenshot of the comment from TLL which I think people are referring to. I don't have it or a link handy to demonstrate, but the language was they expressed a desire to speak to the families, and NOT that they already had.

There's an associated accusation that they deliberately kept promulgating that myth despite it being debunked. I haven't come across anything to demonstrate that, so if it exists and someone has it, please provide it.

I'm going to be on The Dick Show with Dick Masterson on Sunday and I want to tell the story of TLL because I think it our story going from poo to poo in the loo reaches across lines and manages to be interesting, sad, upsetting and funny at the same time.

Okay, I will switch my approach and start editing it immediately, rather than continue researching and tagging the remaining third of my previous draft and overhauling the whole article simultaneously. The reporter might actually be very struck by that response and wonder whether he's being told the truth about TLL. Certainly, if the reporter looks at the evidence, Greta doesn't appear likeable at all. Hopefully he'll ask to talk to someone at KF as well, though we look guilty as fuck to people who lack knowledge of our culture and membership. KF tends to ridicule rather than encourage outright harassment and abuse, and people who get threads tend to deserve them for being bad or idiotic people.

Also, on the Waite subject, it seemed the source of the harassment was 4chan rather than KF. Null himself mocked the people leaving antagonistic comments. I also remember her not being made common knowledge here before her suicide. I think she was on someone's radar for a while and maybe was mentioned once publicly. 99% of us only heard of her after her death, so we couldn't have been responsible for her bullying even if we would have wanted to do it.

The TLL debacle seems to be tangential to the reporter's main mission and focus, unfortunately, so he may not be interested in hearing all the ways TLL is a scam. I would hammer home the point Greta acted like a total twat in this and that we rallied behind her, and that might get the reporter curious enough to change directions to TLL, especially if he was contacted by TLL/Greta first.

One thing which is telling is that Greta is friends with well respected former ABC journalist Evelyn Rios. She's a TLL supporter. Greta will not approach her to write a story because she's an actual journalist and she has called Greta out more than once, including over her treatment of Amanda.

If you do decide to talk to Vice, tell them to contact Evelyn Rios about you being bullied by Greta and co. I doubt she'd lie for them and she has too much credibility for Vice to dismiss her.

Geth has, but it's much harder than you think to summarise all that is wrong with TLL in a relatively short post and to back it up with evidence. You're trying to distill thousands of pieces of information into a short format - which means it's easy for people to dismiss the article as "opinion" or "unsubstantiated" if you don't get the balance exactly right.
