how would you offset a decent wage for your farmers without upping the price of your goods?
I think the minimum wage debate misses the point that all state economies are different, and that you really need to look at it on a state by state basis. I would expect a higher minimum wage in California than South Carolina because more people live there, so there's going to be more demand, so prices and wages have to rise to account for that. "A decent wage" really depends on where you live, and also, what type of person you are. Do you have a family? Do you live alone? Do you have a lot of expensive hobbies or needs?
And Republican voters aren't necessarily opposed to state wage increases either. Florida and Missouri voters raised their minimum wages recently. Let the voters figure it out.

Our current system is being held in place via incentives. People are incentivized to move manufacturing over to China and the resultant products back over here, or what have you. Remove the incentives and things will collapse -- they will collapse anyway, this will just be a different cause and effect -- and the result will be American made products from American made factories hiring American workers selling to Americans.
Case in point, Trump issuing tariffs to China and any American company that would move overseas. Theoretically, that would help inflate the American economy. That can help on a macro scale. Now, again, how are you going to incentive the American worker back into another Industrial Revolution boom?

I'd say "decent" as enough to support yourself, splurge and save for your future. I guess everybody is different.

You'll never get an economy where cleaning bathrooms will get you two cars, your own house, and annual vacations on the sea. All I think we really need is to not feel like the reason we can't get ahead is some smelly foreigner who paid no dues to this country gets in line ahead of us. And we don't want them shitting up our cities with their smelly, alien ways.

Let the voters figure it out.
Voters won't figure shit out. Voting is a meme especially under this system. At its rotten core; voting at least among the general populus is not a very good thing in practice. I suppose you trust the system though. Voting brought us bills that eroded our rights and prosperity as a nation.

They're paying half or less than what they would have to pay without them. Nobody's really prepared for the massive economic correction we'll have without h1bs.
I have seen the bills. That is true for some roles and not true for others. When say TCS bills you for a senior resource you are not paying half what in house is on the books for an American. Most companies that deal with H1Bs either have them consolidated to an external firm like tcs or have a specific part of the company assigned to deal with those people with a different hr group. Sometimes its literally a wholely owned subsidiary.

But lets say your right. Its 50 percent. An H1B "senior software engineer" is about comparable in skill as a good CS major who is American on a 6 month time horizon. A reasonable starting salary for that job title is going to be 120 to 200k a year. I can find fresh out of college kids who will take 60k to get rent paid. There are oodles of them banging on the door.

What they dont like is the kid will realize his worth and go look for that 120 to 200k job and the H1B cant. Its about control, not just the money.

And this entire dynamic should cause salaries to rise...except it doesn't, because when a company realizes they can't hold onto quality workers, rather than pay more, they turn to India. Thus my statement about engineers making about half what they should. Engineering salaries in America would rise across the board if companies couldn't hire jeets. Of course, so would the price of goods. It would be a massive economic shock.

When I first heard Vivek talk, my first impression was "He sure knows how to talk the talk. But let's see him walk the walk..."

Glad I never took a liking to that alien looking fuck. He was way too good at saying the right things... kinda like a con man.
My mom asked me during the Primaries why I didn't like Vivek, it's funny how prescient my answer was.

"Vivek is exactly the type of person Indians use as their inroad to something. A smart, well dressed guy who nails every question, and presents himself as sharing all of your values and as though the only difference between you is his skin tone. Countless IT and Tech firms have hired people like Vivek in the last decade+, and every single time they turn the whole goddamn department they're in control of into New Delhi. I appreciate the fact that he's forcing these losers in the Republican party to confront uncomfortable rhetoric, but I would never vote for him or support him getting a position of real influence."

The only time I've ever been fine with putting an Indian in charge of something is the FBI, and that's because I know the retard is going to run it so badly that there's gonna be a massive scandal. Either they use FBI resources to enforce their retarded fucking caste system that they are genetically predisposed to, or they incompetently reveal state secrets. Regardless, it'd hurt the agency's credibility and possibly even cause restrictions on their power.

Almost everything you loved media-wise has been ruined by suits who gave outsourced work to jeets. Imagine how worse it'll be with jeets replacing good Doctors, programmers, and everything else job-wise in the country.
Turkey Tom and Mad At The Internet have been constantly talking about how awesome Shiva is and that toilets are overrated…

I don't think Trump isn't right wing enough, whatever that means. He pops off with ideas that are all over the place, and because he isn't very well educated in these matters he sometimes goes against Republican orthodoxy, which is great, but it doesn't matter at all because he isn't any good at screening out the swamp creatures he claims to detest, so whenever he crosses some red line an aide comes out and says he didn't really mean that and he is 100% in agreement with Mitch McConnell and Sean Hannity.
So vote Kamala.
