Google has gotten progressively enshittened the past couple years. You can genuinely obtain better and potentially more relevant results by appending before:2023 to a lot of searches if it's something that's not recent. Putting a query in quotes is good for finding direct string matches as well.
But yeah, shit's been getting fucked for a bit now, and it's almost certainly gonna get worse if this push for H1B labor goes full send.

Elon announced that he changed the twitter algorithm so if you get muted/blocked a lot your tweets will show up less on other people's feeds

This also scales with the number of followers a person blocks you has. So if Elon Musk, who has millions of followers blocks you, your account is effectively shadow banned and no one will see it.

Indians also coordinate in telegram groups to false flag accounts they don't like, so they could easily coordinate mass blockings, weaponizing this new system to bury dissent.
