Did Elon retweeting Ian Miles Cheong get posted yet?

I can't archive a retweet but (link | archive) for the original from IMC
The video is from an All In podcast done in June 2024--before the mood around immigration shifted thanks to Springfield, OH and the Trump/Harris debate on Sept 10th-- but IMC doesn't include a date. However, he does include jeet oligarch Chamath Palihapitiya responding to Trump's promise to give all foreign graduates green cards with “that’s fantastic, that’s fantastic” (while looking disgusted with Trump lol). It's very embarrassing and comes off as yet another thoughtless betrayal of the American people by someone who has an obligation to know better:
So what's Trump's current position? Is this post from his VP an indication of what's to come?

JD posted this on Dec 24, before Elon's Yuletide tantrum kicked off. I wonder if this had anything to do with Elon's aggression and agitation.

Before he started “nuking spammers” there was very little spam in his replies. Now, it’s 99% spam and 1% grifters.
Total cope sadly. He was ignoring any well spoken replies same for Adams. Dude needs to go get another woman pregnant or make another company and log off.

Trump is going to limit H1B to the best of his ability since Congress is the one who sets the cap but he can choose the countries to an extent. His inner inner circle has Vance, Don Jr and Miller who are all clearly against them as well.

I should point out that there has been a major difference between Trump supporters immediately dooming when something bad like the H1B thing happens, and Democrat supporters who insist they walk on water despite a thousand different things, such as making a senior old man president and trying to make a pajeet who slept her way to the top president.
Well the difference is Trump and Elon especially actually look at what’s online. Trump is without a doubt watching Fox News right now or talking to people about this nonsense. We all know Biden never looked at Twitter, only kept the tv on CNN who would be kissing his ass. There’s actually an incentive to send a tweet to Elon it very much could affect the world.

In a way it’s kinda cool because whatever you think of Musk well we’ve never been able to send a short message to the richest man on earth. If only he wasn’t so autistic.

Limiting it to graduates of AMERICAN schools is better than some dude fresh off the boat. It's not a terrible idea in that aspect

In. Addition. To.

We were allowed to work a number of hours as part of a school program starting in junior year, and even before that friends and I worked summers. It's not like the kids who used to do paper routes year round suffered.

The school system is working out very well, apparently.
This does not answer how this is supposed to help American workers. How does lowering the minimum age for employment help offset fair wages for farmers?

I wasn't aware of that JD post and the timing of it. I think you are right and they are related. Maybe Elon's retarded plan was him trying to have his cake and eat it too by raising worker standards for Americans while importing H1Bs to keep his costs low, and he somehow thought he could do that and not have every single other big company and CEO copy him and keep doing it.

This also would explain why Vance and Trump have been silent. They didn't think that this would cause a tard out of galactic proportions, where Elon is bending the literal fabric of X to suit his narrative.

There was def posting on the issue going on before the Vance post from MAGA aligned people but then Elon and Vivek stepped into it and turned it into this. I mean legit this has been a net positive with H1B, foreign students taking American student spots via $$$$, and a bunch of other shit is totally blown open now and people know H1B is absolute hogwash now much more then ever before.

Getting people to understand the visa mill business is a big win and hopefully we can shut it down. The idea that you can bring someone over for "training" for years and then give them a H1B and then extend it which gives them more time to have a kid or something is fucked and needs to go.

The more I think about it, the more this feels like 4D chess. Did Vance know Elon would go on a bender because of this and spill the Jeet spaghetti? How much fucking planning went into this?? Because it's working!

If this turns out to all be some of that 8th dimensional smash bros melee that Trump is famous for I will cum

If Trump is serious, he can cite things like security breeches, system failures, faked degrees, IP theft, and all the other scams, fraud, and crime that these shitskins get up to AND TECHBROS ENABLE. H1Bs are a real security risk both in their loyalty and incompetence and the case is easy to make. There is so much opportunity for change if the pressure keeps up.

As an American who married a Korean H1B holder (she's a citizen now) we need to cut these work permits by at least 95%. There are companies that hire only H1Bs and pay their skilled labor McDonald's wages or less, and don't pay them overtime. So it's not that there aren't Americans that can't/won't do the work, it's these companies that don't want to compensate workers with an appropriate wage.

It's basically modern indentured servitude.
