Unless you are living in LA, San Francisco or a nice part of New York city this is bullshit.I feel you but $100K ain’t what it used to be. You can’t support a family on that in most of the country.

I accept that everyone here thinks I'm full of shit and I take my trashcans. I stand by my statement because I know quite a few people in suburbs and small cities who have 2-3 kids and aren't making it on $100K+. Mortgages and the cost of consumables are out of control, and everyone is feeling it.Unless you are living in LA, San Francisco or a nice part of New York city this is bullshit.
You're wrong. Like provably wrong.I accept that everyone here thinks I'm full of shit and I take my trashcans. "Industry experience" for programmers is next to impossible to acquire for people who didn't have impeccable college pedigrees. Management is of the opinion that you can offshore almost all junior roles and have a few senior developers in the US micromanage them. This never works and you'll end up re-doing most of the Indians' code: they will never admit that they don't understand something you said; they'll just agree, and the next day you get to re-do all of their work.“Industry experience” is what gets you hired for 300k a year. My research gives me “industry experience” in a very niche field and I have occasionally been offered (paltry) consulting fees by people coming to me. If industry experience is competing with greenhorns the greenhorns have every right to be worried.
The standard approach for programmers is to have a stage of your interview which is an Introduction to Algorithms quiz-show. It's not really that hard if you actually passed college, but brushing up on your self-balancing tree algorithms (which you almost never use) before every single interview is extremely annoying. It sounds like there needs to be a test or a certification similar to what engineers get. But even then that’s a choice we make a few years in our career, HR is not going to be reading your GitHub project for auto translating doujinshi novels to check for proper documentation. It sounds like they are blindly grabbing the best looking thing they can find
the cost of consumables are out of control,
r/argentina is because the Peronists and other left-wing dipshits in the country itself have been felted so unbelievably hard by Presi-King Milei's success that they are seething impotently on a nonstop basis. Especially since a whole shitpot of them got fired from their never-show government jobs and all of their efforts to neuter the man failed utterly and completely. He is probably almost as popular in Argentina as Bukele is in El Salvador.I was a bit bored this few days and i decided to explore reddit for myself a bit , see what i find but there is something a bit odd going on with reddit, mainly with the spanish speaking side of it.
It seems there are a lot fewer jannies if any on hispanic subs and a lot of stuff you would never expect to see on post-2016 reddit is showing back up again.
People are calling trannies men and making fun of people who date them for being gay and getting upvotes for it without repercussion.
People are being xenophobic towards foreigners and illegal immigrants openly.
Even in historically pozzed subs like r/argentina the tide has turned very badly for leftist sand they get mocked and memed on
Its weird. It seems in my own country sub some of the most obnoxious users fled or just make post whining about the chuds who post on the sub. The entire site does seem more barren and slow now, even in subs with a lot of subscribers. Maybe the holiday season, maybe troons have 41%, or fled to Bluesky but they don't have the grip that they used to , at least in spanish speaking subs.
Yeah it's a bit odd because being an engineering grad doing research means you are basically the only person on the planet who has hands on experience with a particular engineering field while being a CS grad is being paid to do odd jobs for the engineering department."Industry experience" for programmers is next to impossible to acquire for people who didn't have impeccable college pedigrees.

Being able to afford a mortgage/home and multiple kids is not "struggling", holy shit you're out of touch lol. Most people can't afford either of those things.I accept that everyone here thinks I'm full of shit and I take my trashcans. There's something incredibly funny to me about the fact that a subreddit meant for women's issues consists almost entirely of wives complaining about their husbands.Probably just stupid ragebaiting because it has a lot of "everyone was secretly on my side" energy, but if not then hot damn does the average straight white old man live rent free in the head of the average TwoXChromosomes user.
In my experience, I've seen a lot of people say you only need a bachelor's for CS, but that's only true of you're trying to become a software engineer. Which has traditionally been considered the "hottest" role in the field, the really lucrative one that can grant you a zillion hundred thousand dollars per year... but as Elon and his cronies have lately been drawing attention to, is being rapidly outsourced and AI'ed.I'm getting my masters in CS rn and I immediately learned to never browse that subreddit because it was literally just all doomposting from lazy idiots who thought getting a bachelors in CS and nothing else would be easy money and are now distraught at the idea that they have to make themselves look competitive in a competitive market, especially in the current job market being raped by biden. Literally zero helpful information or insightful discussion.
I'm not sure how it is for other majors but generally employers want someone who is actually able to prove they can do the things they say then can do. If you have nothing on your Github, don't know VCS, never did internships, and show basically no interest in skill development or learning things beyond what you're forced to learn, you're not going to beat out the guy applying for the same job who has actual industry experience.
That's pretty much r/RoastMe in a nutshell, they post themselves and their trainweck of a life (real or made up) there either because they get off to being insulted or hoping that some people would check their profiles further and find their link to their OnlyFans or whateverIf a cis woman posts on reddit, she's 100% grifting something. Cosplay, "cosplay", onlyfans, or good ol ego and dick chasing.
I can stomach an argument about treatment options for pedophiles that doesn't involve a gun. However, when a troon starts writing paragraphs upon paragraphs complaining how pedophiles are ostracized, I start side-eyeing they/them/their hard drives real quick. Seems like someone is just upset their employment background check failed for KinderCare.
Treatment programmes for nonces usually involve training them to keep their heads down and avoid situations where they could have unsupervised contact with children. They can be considered low risk if they accept to not put themselves in positions where risk could exist.Their constant with wanting to people to entrust their kids with pedopiles and defending an open pedophile who wants to be a teacher (of presumably underaged students) speaks volumes and is quite telling. They ain't slick. They also give off huge creeper vibes irl, nobody in their right mind would trust them around children
They even took Jackie Singh seriously for a bit, that should say a lot.r/somethingiswrong2024 is fucking insane.
Some of leddit's best nooticers have poosted Paki Snackie's schizoposting. They're surprisingly excited about it. Copepost attached.

I thought it was all tranny shit these days. There's something incredibly funny to me about the fact that a subreddit meant for women's issues consists almost entirely of wives complaining about their husbands.
Nonces never stop noncing. Someone on here once wrote up an interesting post about how pedophilia overlaps more with OCD than other paraphilias. It’s compulsive and they will never stop.Treatment programmes for nonces usually involve training them to keep their heads down and avoid situations where they could have unsupervised contact with children. Any pedo who whinges about acceptance and wants to be trusted is directly contradicting current best practices (other than the death penalty) and wants to molest children.
