The guy worked as an IAM engineer with Deloitte for a year at that salary rate and then got fired. He didn't know anything about SailPoint, the software suite he was hired for. Actually, he probably just sat in Hyderabad and pretended to be in the USA. He actually asked me after he got laid off to send him user documents for SailPoint IdentityIQ which is fucking hysterical because that's what he got hired for.

I could tell you at least 30 separate instances of Indians lying about being in the states and getting paid 5 to 10 times what they would be paid in India, and on top of that they never actually knew what they were doing. These dudes endlessly just ended up being extremely expensive employees who could barely figure out APIs for built out SaaS services. Consultants are bullshit and it's no better in-house at other companies.

The H1-B program basically paid my entire salary for 3 years on the entire premise that HR at these companies are fucking brain dead and have no idea what IT does. They just hear "cloud" and think Rajesh must be a wizard.

The government issuing the visas also didn't give a fuck. I spoke to so many people that magically managed to stay 12-15 years on H1-B EAD. If H1-B is a work visa why is there a route to get your permanent residency (Green Card) from it?

The whole thing is a scam. India stopped sending their best decades ago.

I think Musk will survive. He an x are too important to the flow of information to break with. And from his end he has nowhere left to go. Technical expertise doesn't come from school. It comes from experience. The problem is when you want to hire the smartest people in the world and pay them 1/3 what they would make doing something else.

if you want to go to the Moon, you're gonna need engineers and technicians. Serious guys who make a pot of coffee and figure out how to fit a round CO2 filter into a square socket, without whining about 'representation' or 'diversity'.

One of the smartest mechanical engineers I have ever known left the field. You know why? He was making $120k/yr, and Amazon offered him $700k/yr. He bounced. Gone. That's some top engineering talent just gone because YOU (not you personally) WILL NOT PAY HIM.

I know another engineer who went to med school when he turned 35. He now owns his own practice...and a summer home and a boat.

In 1961, a smart guy couldn't ask for a better job than NASA, or Lockheed, or Bell Labs. Today? Fuck that. Fuck your $50k signing bonus and 15 shares of stock.

You can't fix this with school or training. You can only fix it with cold, hard cash. Starting engineer salary needs to be about $200k or so, and senior engineers need to make at least $500k, if not more.

Until that happens? Fuck off with your whining that you "can't find engineers." If all you can find are jeets, that's a you problem. Pay more.

Nah, they were all pretty much making six figures from the get go.

Some of them were contractors that had an Indian company basically holding them hostage by keeping their H1-B sponsorship, though. Those guys were never getting a Green Card because then the contracting agency that owned them wouldn't have leverage.

It was actually pretty fucked up and would probably be considered human trafficking if the labor wasn't writing absolutely garbage Java. It goes under the radar because it's pretty white-collar work. Everything about the H1-B program was fucked up for all parties involved. The entire program and all the industries that built up around it should be torn apart with prejudice. It is genuinely a cancer. I feel dirty for having worked in that field for a while.

Here's an "I don't get it," question. Well, two.

How did Indians get involved into tech support? And why do companies hire them despite the common stigma of Internet scammers originating from India or some other backwater country?

1. How did Indians get into Tech support

India is nepotistic and corrupt as fuck. Imagine a cross between a Nigger, a Chink, and a Jew. If you ask an Indian if he can do something the answer is yes even if he literally can't understand you. Need requirements? Don't worry, they'll pay someone a nice bribe or have a family member fake the credentials. Need experience? He has it. What? I didn't say what in? That's ok he has it. He has 35 years experience in Windows 11, his resume is clear about it. That's awful impressive for a 23 year old, isn't it?

If you hire an Indian he will do everything in his power to get more indians in. They're literally human cockroaches. They have no concept of ethics or morality, they believe in a twisted version of Dharma which equates to "I did good in a previous life and was born as one of the kings so whatever I want to do is inherently right and I'm owed it and if you lose out or I fuck you over that's literally your fate, sucks to be you."

So, with that in mind... sometime in the past either some Indians came over and got jobs in tech support, or some random outsourcing operation sent a team over to India. This triggered the "I'll hire my cousin Pajeet, he's great (and will bribe me)" cycle. Cousin Pajeet eventually decides to make his own side-hustle doing the same thing, and it spreads from there throughout. At the same time, the Pajeet teams get Pajeet retard wranglers who move up in the company. They're still Pajeets, however, just Jewish Pajeets from the Brahmin caste (i.e., Vivek, the Tech CEOs, etc). They promptly accellerate the cycle by only hiring Indians and firing any non-Indian men and Non-Indian women who refuse to fuck them.

2. Why do companies hire Pajeets?

Companies hire them because of the Indian cancer. Once you let Indians into your company they do whatever they can to bring more Indians in. This includes lying, stealing IP, locking business processes behind Indian teams, and lying cheating and stealing to get non-Indians fired. Eventually you get VPs or Directors or the like that are Pajeets, and they only hire Pajeets. Eventually you get a Pajeet CEO and it's game over.

It's also helpful that they're fucking cheap. Literally, India undercuts the CONCENTRATION CAMPS that China runs. They will literally work for less than Chinese slaves who are shot dead if they refuse to work.

And that's with China wanting to win those bids so they can steal the IP for themselves!

Remember, the paradigm for the past 20 years or so has been "we'll send the grunt work over to India and the White people will clean up after them." The idea being that if you sent the 80% of work that even a trained monkey can do the remaining Americans will be able to fix any issues, bring it up to internal standards, et cetera. The problem is, ask any person in tech -- the Indians are fucking retards. I mean dumber than even the Chinese or Niggers. They put out work that is completely useless. Absolutely unusable. And the increasingly small American team will have to work harder and harder to clean up the Indian's curry streaked shit as they rub their asses across the entire tech sector.

But they're cheap!

And that's ignoring the corruption. We're assuming they're working in good faith and just too stupid to do so. This is not a typical Indian response to being told to do something. A typical Indian response is to find any way possible to not do it while still pocketing the money.


As mentioned a few pages back Vivek literally did this to get his start. Had his mother fake an antibiotic study and then illegally pump and dumped the pharma stock on CNBC before bailing. Doesn't matter, he got his, and because he had the common sense to be born as a Brhamin Pajeweet that must mean he was owed it by his actions in a previous life, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten away with it. This is entirely accurate to my experience working in tech and financial services recruiting. The major issue that they're running into, as you accurately pointed out, is that the work quality is so fucking poor that things are no longer functioning.

About 2 years ago now you could feel the tech market hitting critical mass with cheap Indian labor because the projects just weren't getting done. Nobody knew anything and nothing worked, so when rubber hit the road they didn't have a decent product. This is around the same time interest rates got hiked up so infinite 0% financing for tech companies and consultancies ceased to exist. Now they had to actually take what they had built to a market where money is actually scarce and nobody was buying it anymore.

In a sense the massive wave of hiring infinity Indian Java devs was a product of the "Growth Economy" that existed when everybody could lend money to each other with no interest. Under those circumstances these bullshit companies could point at their staff and say "Look how much we've grown!" to secure investors. There was never any product or service that actually held merit.

Frankly, under the circumstances of our current economy I don't think Indian immigrants are going to find much IT work. The ones that are already here are looking at the door and thinking about what kind of palace they could buy back in India if they just go home.

I'm not exactly keyed in on Chinese labor camps and never interacted with any Chinese people that seemed to be slave labor.

Most of the Chinese people I spoke with were Physics PhDs that asset managers were trying to pick up as quants for stochastic modeling and whatnot. Those positions paid crazy.

In my estimation there were two types of Chinese ex-pats that you'd see in high end finance or tech positions: A) Extremely motivated, intelligent, and diligent people who were happy to build a small fortune in the US. B) People who were probably committing corporate espionage or working indirectly for the CCP.

I could never determine who was A or B, but it was pretty wild how close to the money a lot of these organizations would put someone who was a citizen of a quasi-hostile nation and left there like 6 months earlier.
