Couple that with the fact that Bitlocker is now being enabled by default in new Windows 11 installs. Bitlocker uses the TPM to store encryption keys for the disk. Which means that if somehow your TPM gets wiped while you have Bitlocker enabled, it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to decrypt the disk. I do really wonder what their plan is with all of this...I hate that I can't install Windows 11 without using workarounds cos my PC doesn't have a TPM. The performance of my PC is perfectly fine for my needs, so I'm not going to build a new one just so I can use Windows 11.
