Being able to afford a mortgage/home and multiple kids is not "struggling", holy shit you're out of touch lol. Most people can't afford either of those things.
I mean when I was at 90K I was bringing in around 5.5K post taxes. Rent, food, utilities at 2K. So that’s 3.5 spare a month, (which was absolutely not struggling for me, just throwing out some numbers)

That’s what? A little over a thousand per kid per month? You say “afford a kid” like you can just shove it back up there if things get tight. He’s not raising a pack of niglets, if his local school district sucks he’s already going to be down about a thousand per kid and if his work doesn’t have good benefits he’s already in the red.

Then you have a college fund, emergency fund, like you aren’t just worrying about you anymore. You got three retarded midget you’s to worry about. No need to be a crab nigga.

Respectfully, there's no way you are paying all but 5.5k out of 90k in taxes. That's like 95% of your income. Is that a typo?
Edit to add: nevermind. 90k is annual where 5.5k us monthly. I apologize.

No, I say "afford a kid" as in having the financial means to raise multiple children on top of owning a house on a single persons income.

The average personal income in the United States is $63,214, with the median income across the country being $44,225. Real wages averaged $67,521 in 2022, and average household incomes averaged to $87,864. You alone would be making more than the average joint income family in most of the southern US. If you had a spouse who made significantly less than you, let's say 50k or so, then you'd make more than the average family across most of the US. So no, being able to afford a mortgage and multiple children and an emergency fund and a college fund is not in any universe "struggling" and you can't convince me other wise.

There's no certification because there's no objective standard for what good software is. IEEE tried to create a software engineering discipline, but it turns out almost nobody wants to pay for formal verification of programs, so almost nobody cares.
standardisation and certification is extremely difficult because of how fast the field is constantly changing
this is a big difference compared to disciplines like chemical, mechanical or civil engineering where the foundation of the craft stays largely the same even as time goes on. in software there's new programming languages every few years, and new paradigms like every decade.

He doesn't own a house nigga. He's gonna be paying a higher price than rent every month or he's going to be homeless. If you throw in all the averages for everything he's got less than $1000 bucks per kid. and that's putting every penny toward the kids. I know people who happily raise kids on 50k because they own the house and the job has good benefits. They can't as shit afford a mortgage but they don't have to. Instead they go on vacations. Their net worth is well in the green while our dude is well in the negatives.

30 years later? Nah he won't be struggling, because he'll have cleared up about 75% of his monthly costs. But that's 30 years from now isn't it?

You can say he should have wrapped it and like, yeah maybe, but it's a pretty stupid metric to say that someone isn't struggling because of the theoretical world that is explicitly distinct from their current one. Like what, Metokur's not struggling because he can afford goofballs with his hat money, because if he didn't need goofballs he'd have a lot of hat money? Shouldn't you just use In - Out = Spare instead? Was I struggling while making 30k when living with my parents with every dollar made able to be saved because I couldn't have afforded a kid and a mortgage?

Probably just stupid ragebaiting because it has a lot of "everyone was secretly on my side" energy, but if not then hot damn does the average straight white old man live rent free in the head of the average TwoXChromosomes user.

Edit: must be bait because the apparent "proud american woman" styles her payment as 200$ instead of the way any American really would. Why do redditors work so hard on lies?

Then everyone stood up and clapped.

Ok people. I said I only really pay attention to one subreddit based off my cow and I have no other thread for this besides the cows page here. I'll cross post this but this page is funny to me and I want others to enjoy. If it's stupid, unentertaining, or there's a better thread for this, please let me know. I'll cross post this on the cow's page. You can find my previous post on this subreddit page here which will help provide some context. I mainly want to provide a follow up to this stupid internet drama and hopefully provide some more laughs.

Firstly, I forgot to mention that the whole doxing ordeal led to a reminder not to publish any personal information public or not on a public subreddit (A) because this violates Rule 3 ; which anybody on reddit ought to know. Most of them seem to hold the ideal of "n0 doxwing" despite publishing (even if public) personal information on the subreddit.

Next, after admitting that "This is a toxic job I had a unhealthy relationship with" (A) , in less than 24 hours, Amber Leigh in Tennessee (the lady who got full on doxed not baby doxed), the subreddits favorite stalker, is back in action (A). This in and of itself I wouldn't consider worth posting here. HOWEVER,

Because the TaHoTrish subreddit has become so unruly and ungrounded to reality (to be fair, that's just most of reddit) even old members are beginning to voice their concerns. (A) Take note of the main concerns of the user stated, "That being said, some members of this sub take it beyond awareness to straight up harassment." and right after "the doxxing, calling the police, calling the landlord, calling CPS, driving by Patty's house and recording videos of her apartment (that's literally stalking)... The list goes on and ON."

"Okay Cheesy Beavy, what's funny and/or worth updating on?" Well let's take a look at some of the users who responded.

First let's take a look at these comments from mask-required. I edited out my hour so just pay attention to the minutes.
actually 1 and 1 is 2.webp
At first, this comment went from 1 karma to -1 karma. Everytime you post, you automatically receive the one karma updoot rating. So (I assume) the original poster downvoted the comment (considering the lack of attention on the post at the time) and the other commenter (flyyyme2moon) downvoted as well, soon going to a -1 rating the same minute.
time 2.webp
But what's really interesting is that someone upvoted the comment.
time one.webp
What "flyyyme2moon" said was "Wait so are you condoning doxxing and stalking?" before the updoot happened.

Is this a case of reddit brain, upvoting everything you see, or people legitimately ok with doxing, stalking, and harassment? I'll let you decide.

Time to look at another user who has commented. Lucky Loser concentrate.

Loser Concentrate says "I called animal control services..." within the post. This is also supported by their post history (A). Maybe I'm wrong, please say something if so, but it might be considered "harassment" asking 1000 plus members to call animal control on someone (harassment defined as "aggressive pressure or intimidation). I don't know about others but I'd consider asking 1000+ people to call a place as harassment. This isn't the first time either with the user advising all members of the subreddit to call the store that the cow dumpster dives in. Also notice how Lucky Loser concentrate picks only the stalker and doxing claims, purposefully ignoring the "harassment" which was mentioned first. Kind of hard to say you haven't noticed any of that when the posts arrived if your main history every 20 minutes is this subreddit. Let's also take another look at the stalking claims this user mentions. I'm not sure about you, but if someone had my address and posted a video of themselves outside of my apartment, I'd consider that stalking (video relevant).

However, what does Loser Concentrate say? "Good on the ground reporting " (I went and checked the archive luckily (pun intended) before posting and I guess the motherfucker edited his comment? does that change the archive? Anyway, here's proof of the original comment)

real com lucky stalk.webp

Lastly, let's take a look at AOE/AngelonEarth/ Amber Leigh from Tennessee again.

Thank you so much for saying it's you, yet again. Because I totally forgot after you made this post (A), or this post (A), because I have the brain of a redditor and the memory of a goldfish. Thank you for reminding me.

Anyway, before I start a-logging, here's my post. Hope it was informative and providing some entertainment about regular reddit users.

Edits were minor grammatical changes to make a bit more sense
