Personally I am partial to her and Ivy together, either as teammates or as girlfriends. Harley has been so psychologically damaged from her time with joker and done so many evil things that I couldn't really see her going back to "normal" tbh. Even growing into the angry feminist owner of a rape shelter seems too sweet unless she moonlight as an abuser killer. Also her wacky brand of villainy would be missed along with her cunning traps.
One of my favourite cute spin off comics from back in the day was "Harley and Ivy". In it, Ivy lets Harley live with her for a while during a time where Harley managed to kick the Joker for a bit. They go off on fun and villainous adventures together while trying to teach Harley some independence and to be happy on her own for herself. The comic is a "what could be" if Harley managed to escape the joker and tbh the tragedy of her abuse stuck with me more in seeing her free (and then inevitably going back to him) as opposed to just seeing her getting abused by Joker. In the same way Ivy is a man hating eco-terrorist Harley could be a man-hater who targets abusive men but goes too far. It could have been the great origin for a new phase in her life if she'd been allowed to exist as a character under 1 continuity for more than just 20 years like most other batman characters before the reboot. You need time to reimagine characters like with Jason Todd or Batgirl/Oracle

I was going to bring up Oracle and then you did it in the next sentence. And Cassandra Cain. Flashpoint/Nu52 was nothing short of a genocide.

Also worth mentioning that H&I was written and drawn by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, the same people who created Harley fifteen years prior. You don't get a more definitive take on the character than that.

I'm talking about a big, double-sized tit-centered special issue. Not just a cover with a boob joke or something.

And comics in general could benefit from a bit of sex appeal again. I'm not saying everything needs to be pornographic or anything, but comics should be full of the kinds of things that 14 year old boys like again. Instead of being weird comics made for journos and twitter people.

Said movie also had the SECOND time in an official DC product where Nightwing was raped (and mean in the actual sense of the world, first time was pre-2005 (i think, i know it was during the dark age after Identity Crisis) by a stalker (another costume wearer (i assume villain but i never read those comics) named Tarantula and somehow i have the feeling even in that edgy time period addled that better)
