There was a lot of this in the US too recently. A lot of kids going into CS who would have just gotten business degrees in decades past. Part of it is the retarded "get promoted or die" culture at FAGMAN that forces engineers to either push themselves into a management position or get fired. You're not allowed to simply be an engineer.

I talk about the Indian shysters in the tech talent pool a lot but there's definitely a problem with some of the latest domestic crop of CS kids. A lot of them don't really have any passion for the field and just want an easy paycheck. It's very different than the people you saw in the 00s and early 2010s which were people who had legitimate passion from childhood and built programming projects on their own before even going to college.

There's really just too much hype in the field. One of the reasons why all the shops dropped degree requirements is because employers have finally figured out that CS != programming and a degree in CS is not really indicative of actual programming ability.
